Did Rudy say that from a balcony?

I'm not a fan of Rudy, but I don't think this statement is that bad.
Freedom does require that people cede to lawful authority. The alternative would be lawlessness and chaos. One of the primary pillars of democracy is a strong legal and justice system, and in order to have a strong legal system, it means people are largely willing to abide by said legal system.

Not without knowing more about their stands on the issues.

I refuse to choose a candidate based on 30 second sound bites or quotes made with none of the context behind the message.

No I would not. I would also not vote for a candidate who states that "eavesdropping on american citizens is not a violation of my civil rights because the only civil right we need is the right for the government to make sure I stay alive".
Mitt Romney

i dont know. context is everything. without the context its impossible to tell what he meant by it. I know i say things wrong all the time. And while I am always trying to do better, why would i hold a politician to a higher standard than myself?
