If i bought my tv and laptop with all of my own money and i am a minor (16) can my parents legal sell my stuff?

EDIT: I live in the US in Utah. I worked for all my money and have never received an allowance, but if they did would I be entitled to compensation? Such as them having to reemburse me for the costs?

If you are living under their roof, and not paying room and board, my guess would be that they could do so.

Yep.... they sure can. Even if you tried to sue you can't as you are a minor. Even if you could do you think legal charge would work....... nope as you are a minor. If this got on the radar you might find yourself a guest of social services.

I would be curious as to why this would be an issue.

Where are you?

The answer will depend on the law of your unknown country.

In the US, in every State so far as I know, the answer is "Yes they can", unless you're legally emancipated.
