I'm sorry, but I can't understand why somebody always wants to stir something up with a question like that? When did being the "meanest," and "baddest," and a "killer" become something so blasted wonderful?

Tell you what, kid, You would be lucky to have any soldier standing next to you in a fight than across from you.

Been there, done that, over 20 years. Sometimes up close and personal... not from 500 meters with a scope, or from 30,000 feet with a smart bomb. When did it become "cool" to kill? It frightens me that one day your finger might be with 100 miles of "the button."

I would have to go with Delta Force or the Navy Seals, followed closely by Marine Force Recon.

Most American Veterans would not want to talk about such things. However, for pure professionalism and efficacy, the U.S. Navy SEALS are as about as tough as they come, with a salute to the U.S. Marines Force Recon, and the U.S Army's Special Forces.

USAF airplanes. We knock out the communications, and pretty much stop the enemy before they know what hits um. You can't fight a battle if you can't communicate with each other.
And ask any army/marine ground unit what an A-10 means to them!

You will get all kinds of answers, but if you're specifically asking about battlefields, artillery is still the king.

A few 155mm rounds, and you'll find Seals and Rangers trying to crawl into their helmets

That would depend highly on the terrain and conditions of the battlefield in question.
