Hillary Rodham Clinton voted Wednesday to advance legislation cutting off money for the Iraq war, then refused to pledge to support the measure if it came to a vote, then said she would.

At lunchtime, the New York senator and presidential candidate was asked repeatedly by reporters whether she favored the troop withdrawal legislation that had just come up for a procedural vote on the Senate floor.

Her answer: "I'm not going to speculate on what I'm going to be voting on in the future. I voted in favor of cloture to have a debate."

By supper time, she had a different answer.

"I support the underlying bill," she said. "That's what this vote on cloture was all about."

Even Big Oil stocks like Exxon did much better under Clinton.

It's beyond me why anyone from the right would have confidence in Bush who's proven to be a complete idiot.

I don't think so. The only times I think discipline is the answer is when someone needs to control their tight budget, know when to stop gambling, and refrain from driving while drunk.

Here are examples of why I think discipline is overrated,

1) Look at Stone Cold's rampage in the WWF during the Attitude Era. The only discipline he had was when he was on the football team in college. With discipline, he'd be too tamed and not as entertaining as he was.

2) Did you watch the movie "Major Payne" with
Damon Wayans? Do you remember the scene when that boy's stepfather was about to hit him and almost did if not for Major Payne stopping his hand? The boy was TOO disciplined because he wasn't even gonna defend himself.

3) Did you ever watch "The Lords of Discipline"? Do you remember the first minute of the movie when that guy was SO disciplined that he marched like a little sissy?

SOME discipline is good, but WAY TOO MUCH. Just look at examples 2 and 3 again there...

My husband was phsically assaulted by my cousins husband. My husband picked me up from work Wed. night and as we drove out of the parking lot my cousins husband pulled in, jumped out of the car and slugged my husband in the face. My husband was in the vehicle and stayed in the vehicle the entire time. We called the police and they said they really couldn't do too much. My husband has a visible marking on his head and a lump from the incident. My cousins husband does not like my husband or myself because a few months ago he used to live with us and we evicted him and his wife because he was breaking the law while living under our roof. He has been harrassing us for several months. We have filed several police reports re: the harassment but nothing has been done to this guy. After the last incident we were going to file a restraing order but didn't because we thought he was finally going to leave us alone and he had not bothered us alone because the cops spoke to him that time.

If congress can let 58,000 men and women die in vietnam, and then just stop the funding for the war and say OH WELL, no more money, have to go home now.... but not to worry we will send Henry Kissinger around telling everybody WE WILL HAVE PEACE WITH HONOR IN VIETNAM, he got the noble peace prize for his great work???? question is, will our great congress do the same thing with iraq? or blame the people of the U.S. saying they didn't want vietnam and they don't want iraq any more either......have to worry about my re-election you know.......is there some logic to this??? or is it better to lose 5 or 6 thousand soldiers then 58 thousand....will the world think better of us for losing two war's....what do you think....what's going to happen and what will the aftermath be??

Isn't the whole American system set up to protect the rich? I mean tax dollars go to pay police officers who take criminals off the street who try to steal things from rich people. And if you're lucky enough to be able to afford your own house, there is a register of deeds available to make sure your deed is of record so no one can come claim your house. And the areas of the country that have higher taxes ususally have better schools, and with better schools comes better education, and better education leads to college and better job opportunities. So the rich children benefit there. And of course if you're lucky enough to afford a car, there are roads and bridges built in order to drive your car on. And parts of tax budgets go to economic development. I could go on and on how taxes help the wealthy, but everyone seems toforget about that. Now granted there are social services out there that assist the poor, but it really seems that the rich have a far better end of the deal.

He kicked us out of our home when my daughter was one week old. I had no other choice but to move back home, out of state. Now, I am being "punished" by the court for leaving the state where my daughter was born and where her father lives. Now the court is suggesting that I drive 3\4 of the way so he can see his daughter. Keep in mind, he kicked us out with no finicial support and he has not attempted to see her and I have not denied him his rights. PLEASE tell me this is not right!

This really is not a partisan question. The Bush White House has used executive orders to "shore up" more power to the White House than ever before. This power will remain with the Presidency unless a President gives up these powers intentionally, which seems doudtful regardless of what party occupies the office. Is this healthy given the all imortant "checks and balances" created with wisdom by the founding generation of Americans that wrote the Constitution?

3 Billion a day cost for a out opf control military, added to an already record national debt of 10 Trillion. That, combined with suprprime debacle, rising oil, record personal debts, health care crisis, record trade deficit, sinking Dollar, helpless fed, maniac Bush and a pension crisis, waiting to sink the ship. Why can't we stop meddling.
