i passed 2 parked patrol cars in a residential area and they immediately pulled out and got behind me and pulled me over for allegedly not signalling a turn.when i saw them i was acutely aware of my driving (spd lmt, sgnls, cmplete stop,etc..)and gave no reason for them to stop me,but they did before i was even 2 blocks away.he asked for d.l. and insurance and i told him i lost my d.l. the day before but as soon as the d.p.s. office opened monday i would(and did) get a new liscense.I also gave him all the info on the liscense and showed him some credit cards and other documents for id.He told me to step out of the car and asked me to open the trunk. When i balked at this he said,"I'll put it to you this way, either open it or I'm going to arrest you for no d.l. and open it myself".He then opened it, saw some electrical wire, and started questionig me about it.He said he thought it was stolen and confiscated it He gave me nothing to sign or anything to show he kept the wire?I went to jail

My son got a ticket at 17 which is causing him a lot of problems. His attorney said that police officers aren't supposed to turn tickets over the state on juveniles. He went to court in our county and did everything he was supposed to do. Now the state has set up a hearing.

I want to suit the state for the amount of my toll violations. I used my ex wifes iPass when I drive to work, but the state says it has to be registered to my car, not hers, so they sent me a bill for 380.00! If they sent me a notice that I was being fined within say 30 days, I'd have fixed the problem a long time ago and paid the original fine, but waiting for a whole freaking year to send me something!?!? Any opinions?

He is into politics, so he isn't unfimiliar with politics.
But he isn't the smartest guy, but had higher than a C average in high school and college.

That's already smarter than the president we have now.

As a Jew myself, I feel that it is my responsibility to inform the rest of the Jewish community about the Human rights abuses being commited by our own nation of Israel. I fear that continuation of Israels human rights abuses in Gaza will forever tarnish the image of world Jewry and increase worldwide Anti-semitism. I want to know what I can do to convince other Jews to put pressure on Israel to stop the abuse of human rights abuses in occupied territories. Because the Jewish religion strongly believes that all humans are equal and the 10 commandments say to love thy neighbor. Can you give me advice on how I can lead and make a difference?

OPEC strats trade oil for the Euro and all imports become more expensive as our dollar falls because it is supported by oil? Will we be able to heat our homes or purchase food?

I am up for alternatives on fuel. One is to us the Reserve in the ground I.E. drilling as a stop gap way to lower fuel price. What is the solution to what seems to be a world wide fuel crisis?

That will lead to an economic crisis in the near future? Or what will be the economic impact if gas hit 200 a barrel per the VENZ. presiden's wishs?

...before content can be deleted?

The Immigration Section is NOTORIOUS for this! Both sides complain that their perfectly innocuous, rule-abiding content got vaporized. It is SOOO annoying and unfair!!!

I'd pay about what Yahoo charges for its other services: say $50 or so a year.

Your thoughts?

Sometimes I smell marijuana in my backyard, even inside my house, and I think it's coming from the house next door. I do not know my neighbor, as it's a rental property. It really doesn't bother me (too much), so I am wondering if I should just ignore it or report it anonyomously to the PD.

The UK's nuclear weapons are stored in Scotland. The Scots government majority party the SNP want them out. The weapons are now due to be renewed at huge cost to the taxpayer. Getting rid of nuclear weapons from Scotland would effectively mean a nuclear-weapon free Britain, as there is nowhere else in the UK suitable to store them.

Scotland has not recently or ever been the subject of threats of nuclear attack. Despite the Ministry of Defence's assertion that the base is safe from intruders, the base where the weapons are stored is frequently illegally entered and damage or occupation performed by protestors from the general public, usually senior citizens, hippies and nuns.

Is it safe to store these weapons here? Is it legal?

Example of the base's vulnerability:

Roger Sensing got a temporary permit preventing anybody from protesting on the sidewalk in front of Pruitt's Furniture at Thomas Road and 34th Street.Immigrant rights groups have been protesting in front of the store for several weeks now.

About 10 years ago in Dunblane, Scotland. A legal handgun owner murdered 16 5/6 year olds and their teacher... What happened after that... the british government banned private handgun ownership... when was the last school-shooting since Dunblane in the UK? Yet over here in America, there have been so many school shootings... gun-homicides and nothing has been done... It seems Americans want to "protect" themselves... Are they aware of the potential murderers that can so easily buy a gun...legally? And what do you really want guns for... to shoot glass bottles in a desert in the middle of nowhere? Guns were designed to kill, and to kill they shall do...

The rhetoric on this site is unbelievable. Everyone thinks they know just what the other side is up to, as if we actually back everything our Party does. Doesn't that simply enable politicians to do as they please (knowing they are backed by their contituents)?

Columnists for years have written about how trial lawyers fight for the common man...
How is either Party different?

Everyone knows that Iran and the US are on bad terms. Fact is that Iran, their president, doesn't like the US or Israel.

From this article, it seems that Iran and Venezuela want to hurt the US economy. So there for, it would be in the best interest of Iran to provoke a war between Iran and Israel and/or the US. If we are dragged into a war with Iran, the price of Oil would go higher, and our economy would be for fragile.

Any thoughts?
Please read the article, no stupid comments please!

I drank my first full beer at 16. I have been drinking small sips of wine here and there since I was 4. I dont see why the United States is so uptight when it comes to drinking. How can an 18 year old be considered an adult and still not be able to drink? Its ridiculous. Who here has actually waited until they turned 21 to take their first sip of alcohol?
