The rhetoric on this site is unbelievable. Everyone thinks they know just what the other side is up to, as if we actually back everything our Party does. Doesn't that simply enable politicians to do as they please (knowing they are backed by their contituents)?

Columnists for years have written about how trial lawyers fight for the common man...
How is either Party different?

I think there are a lot of frustrated extremists on here. Most ppl in the real world I've met are much more reasonable. I'm not a believer in the Howard Dean Dem Party, but guys like Biden earn my respect; Hillary's and Obamas don't. I agree with what I think you're leading into: That moderates need to take back both parties from extreme forces.

I'm an Independent-turned- Republican, But I'm a McCain type first, who's able to work WITH Dems, not against them, to get the job done. He's who this country sorely needs, but with extremists dominating media and internet blogs, his chances are limited. Too bad. He could be a great President.

There are a bunch of frustrated extremists here. America is based on the idea of extremism in defense of liberty. Our founders were all extremists. If their cause had failed, they would have all been hanged for treason against the king. The same goes for todays politics. "Towing the company line" of party politics that compromise the Liberty of the people is cancer for this country. Find out what Liberty really is and start defending it.

Buffalo News?!? Come on, this question alone is something that Rodham-Clinton wants in her favor, at some point, and if we discuss it. My belief is that Obama will win the primary and the general elections, and Rodham-Clinton, the suck *ss that she is will disappear for a while and hope that Obama will ask her to run as VP and he won't. Thank goodness.

I am staunch on my beliefs until I get even more info that changes my mind.

I think that would make me a Classic Liberal.

There aren't many of those around anymore.

They're all pseudo-intellectual, moveon.orger's now. They don't form their own opinions, they take them verbatim from a website.

Vote Ron Paul 08!

Blindly following on partisan issues just makes you a sheep.

Yes, blind obedience does enable, it also allows them to seize our freedoms.

I am not overly staunch in my beliefs. However I am a canadian, I do have a few more options.
