The time for nuclear weapons is over. They served their purpose after ww2, ie supporting capitalism, but that need has gone. Capitalism is heading towards a major meltdown, and no amount of nuclear weapons is going to stop that. It's wrong of the UK government to deploy it arsenal in Scotland. The truth is, even though England did much wrong in the past, the world doesn't look upon us too badly today, I believe. It's the USA that's the problem today. Bush is a very cruel bully. It's a shame that Americans can't see that. Credit where it's due though, they are never told anything by their mass media. I believe that British nuclear weapons should go, all of them, and that the UK should rapidly distance itself from the USA. Europe would be a much better ally to Britain, even if they can't talk correctly.

it is not a question of 'loving Nukes' that's a question being 'extra applicable secure than sorry'. It became in basic terms some many years in the past that the sunlight finally set on the British Empire. in spite of you think of of the Empire era, it in basic terms takes some difficulty makers to place a spin on history and whats up presto you have streets crammed with human beings making a track for 'English Blood' in step with some historic complaint they might have, actual or imagined. So a sturdy protection device is money nicely spent for right here few many years. possibly 40 or so years from now England can get excitement from it is sundown years in peace, yet human nature is such that there are constantly hate freaks accessible finding for difficulty, and while those human beings experience weak point, they are in for the kill. So Trident would be at Sea, and the Air stress would have a punch with it is new airplane, sorry, yet that's in basic terms what must be hung directly to for right here few many years.

I think Scotland should get rid of its Nucs and England should get rid of Scotland.
Seriously, this kind of talk is so divisive, a nuclear deterrent is still needed in the era of rogue states. Also the SNP's slim majority does not speak for all of Scotland despite the impression Alex Salmond may give. I think the majority of Scots, do understand the need for a continued nuclear presence...

Nuns and Nukes, huh?
Thats scarey.
Trust me though... without the nukes and the threat of mutual assured destruction, Briton would have been in dozens of wars since 1945.
