3 Billion a day cost for a out opf control military, added to an already record national debt of 10 Trillion. That, combined with suprprime debacle, rising oil, record personal debts, health care crisis, record trade deficit, sinking Dollar, helpless fed, maniac Bush and a pension crisis, waiting to sink the ship. Why can't we stop meddling.

One smidgeon of common sense will tell you that the bulk of our budget should be spent on Americans.

It is already bankrupt and will not admit it. Yes it does seem that the policy of our government is empire building or maybe trying to control the nations of the world. Several people in this country knows and tells the citizenry but they cannot or will not listen---one is Ron Paul the other is Pat Buchanan and even Pat Robertson wrote a book--"New World Order". We will never stop meddling until George Washington warning to "Stay Away From Foreign Entanglements" is made our policy.

As far as bringing America's forces back and stop policing the world. I agree.

I am amazed that we still spend hundreds of billions of dollars every year to protect South Korea from the North. This is a country that has an economy growing far greater then our own. I think that it is time for them to either start chipping in for the price of their security or start protecting themselves.

I would add Japan and Germany on that as well. I understand we need forward operating bases, but why so many that are so largely staffed. We moved out of the Phillipines and no one has attacked them, I think its time to do the same with some of our other bases. I'm fed up with living paycheck to paycheck so that we can protect nations with higher standard of livings then our own.
