The father should stop paying all and any support at 18 or when finished with high school (Illinois), however if the court is going to force the father once again to pay then the father has every right to petition the court to equally pay as well since the child is no longer under the mothers care under the same roof. 100's of 1000's of times the non residential parent is taken advantage by paying for fee's and support that at times is a finacial burden when the costodial parent beniets from an extra income. Prime example when the mom makes $50k or more a year and the fater makes $30k per year or less or when the dad is unemployed just earning unemployment money and is still forced to pay support, so...... it's time society makes the mom's and/or costodial parent pay as well. We need to send a message to these Judges out there!!!!!

Yes, it depends which state you live. However, if the father under the age of 18 cannot pay child support some states make the parents pay it. You will need the paternity to claim child support. Also, remember when you collect child support the Father is legally able to come get the baby for visitation. When he has a new girlfriend or wife, this will be a problem in your mind.

Yes, absolutely he will have to pay child support if he's found to be the father. And in some areas, his parents are responsible until he turns 18. You should go to your local Department of Social Services or Department of Children and Families -- they will pursue a paternity test (he will be court ordered to comply) and get a child support order on your behalf.

Paternity would be established if the dad declines paternity. Some states will require it, check with your state guidelines about the child support because some states require his parents to help out

I have been told YES. As both parents are required to support the child no matter the age of the parent. If he had the kid you would be paying child support. You had better to ask support enforcement for your state these questions. Are you trying to hide who the parent really is or are you afraid in any way? These are all questions in my mind on why would you not want to claim who the parent was or was not.

If DNA testing proves he's the father...and I'm assuming he's old enough to get a job...yeah...he can be ordered to pay child support if he's the biological father!
Condoms prevent this kind of problem!

Age has nothing to do with being a father. If he fathered your child, then by all means, he should be paying child support

I love this, it takes two, 2, people to make a child, or make the decision to have sex, yet with women, the first thing they spew out is child support, money, how much can I get and when. Was this your plan all along? Or did you say to him, " If I become pregnant with our child, I will equally share the child's financial burden with you, and we will share the child's time equally between us as the child is equally both of ours" ? Most women cannot and will not face the fact that the child is just as much the father's as it is their own. So is the financial responsibility. To be honest, most women play the " Pity me" card and say that they have to stay at home and raise the child because until the child reaches school age, they need the mother to be around 24/7. So naturally this let's them off the hook for doing their part financially. Secondly, since the child is around them so much of its early days, it creates a very strong and special bond with the mother while the father is out working 24/7 to pay for his child and not ever getting his equal share of time with the child. And usually since the mother finds 1'000+ excuses not to be able to work and raise a child, she goes on public assistance and becomes a tax burden on all of us because she consented in having sex in the first place. In reality, when the father is proven by the test, on that day, he will begin to pay you your money. HAPPY?!? From that day on every time he gets a raise in pay, so can you when you ask for it, and I just bet you will. I know women who have as much as 5 kids by, naturally 5 different fathers, live off the system and collect tons of support. LEGALLY! I am not putting you in this category because I know nothing of you or who you are, but can't women like this keep their legs together? But as long as we have a system that caters and feels sorry for the women in situations like this, this baby factory, welfare systems, child support invoking, burden on society and family wrecking activity will never end. Yes, please get you money as soon as you can, he needs to be proven positive and trust me, his lawyers will try and delay that as long as they can, if that is his wish. Don't become like all the others, be a good mom, share the child with the father if at all possible. Remember, that is your child's father. Your child has the right to know his/her father. Visitation is for the child's sake. Don't use it as a tool to hurt the father. Child support is for the child, not for your vacations, or going to the bar or..... Do everything with your child's best interest first. It becomes easier as time goes on. You have been given the greatest gift of all. God bless both , all of you. By the way, if you were raped and that is the cause of your pregnancy, then forget about 99% of what I said above, and charge him with rape.
