I heard part of his speech and it was the most moving thing I have heard in quite a long time. It actually gave me goosebumps and brought a tear to my eye.

It really is a shame we can't get anyone like that to run for office HERE! Everyone is so focused on the politics that they screw the country over.

http://www.floppingaces.net/2007/11/07/french-president-sarkozy-ameri/

Why can't we get someone like this HERE! Why do some of OUR citizens hate our country so much that they spit all it daily?

Immigration legal or not? I mean it's obvious that if a country is prosperous the less likely people will leave and if they do leave they are more likely to emigrate legally instead of illegally to another country and there would be less resentment towards them.

All this bull about how torture doesn't work because they'll just tell you what you want to hear to make you stop torturing them.
-
How about this? ......we know for certain Akmed knows where the nuclear bomb is in an American city and when it will go off. Put a ball-gag in his mouth and put him in extreme pain. Tell him the pain will not stop until the bomb has been found and disarmed. If it goes off he will die. Tell him the more and better information he gives, the sooner we will find the bomb and the sooner the pain will stop.
-
So he won't tell you what you want to hear to get the pain to stop, because the pain won't stop until his information has been verified.
-
Not that I advocate any particular method, but why can't people use their imagination a little and see past the classic straw-man argument about getting bad information?

I am having an event with some celebrities. I am not paying them to come but I am doing tons of PR with their name on fliers, radio, magazines, etc. What type of legal contract do I need stating that if they do not come then they owe me money? Also is there a way that I can find this contract online and then just change it around that way I don't have to pay any lawyer fees?? Thanks..

with the "writters guild" strike and CBS' efforts to have a "green" week?

With the studios closed and all those massive C02 polluting AC units on those rooftops coming to a grinding halt and CBS running without the studio lights on... did that tip the global warming scales here in California enough to end the war on summer and create a "California cooling trend" that will no doubt effect the entire atmosphere for the world?

When I was 16, I skated across a semi-busy street, to catch the bus that was coming early, so I could get home in time.. and right as I was getting on the buss I was stopped by a dick head cop who gave me a damn jaywalking ticket.

I went to court, did the required comm. service, and I thought it was over and done with..

But I went to apply for some apartments last week, and they said there was a misdemeanor on my record, I had no idea what it could have been until I thought back and remembered this..

But I thought this was supposed to be sealed off when I turned 18? I am 20 now...

I called the City Court that issued the ticket and they are now telling me it will be on there for life, WTF?

Any suggestions? I know it's not a big deal, but this may come back to bite me in the as.s some day..

There was a misunderstanding a couple of weeks ago that left bf with a no contact order and want to know how we can resolve this.

We were having a heated verbal arguement on the street in the wee hours of the morning and i stumbled and fell and when he tried to avoid letting me fall we both went down. police showed up at that moment and arrested him with domestic assault. APPARENTLY there was also a witness, but it REALLY wasnt what it must have looked like.

How do we fix this????

Would it be more love?
Money?
Emotional support from family, friends, and the community?
The father of the child wanting the baby, and being able to help raise and support her/him?
Marriage?
A priest telling her it's evil to have abortions?
An easier life?
A good family who would readily adopt the child, and pay all the medical bills?
A look into the future to see their child year by year as they grow?

Of course I am speaking of healthy women who abort their babies.

I really Like the Wall

I remember the first time I went to the Vietnam Wall I got to the B's and noticed Butler. He tossed a coin with me to decide who would go on a mission. It was the one when Lt. Lee got the MOH less than 15 Marines fought off and killed 5000 NVA and Chinese attackers.

My problem is that when I started working at my job, my employer told me that I would be starting work at 4a.m. every morning. He also mentioned that I may have to come in to work a little earlier when it gets busy. Well, I understand that it is the holidays coming up, but he is having us all come in two hours earlier for several days throughout the week. When he tells us this it is usually the week ahead of time (at most). Then he proceeds to tell us (the employees) that is we do not come in at that time then we are fired. Now my question is that if (on the date hired) he tells us that we have a certain time that we come in everyday is it right to make us work overtime (come in 2 hours earlier)???
