I heard part of his speech and it was the most moving thing I have heard in quite a long time. It actually gave me goosebumps and brought a tear to my eye.
It really is a shame we can't get anyone like that to run for office HERE! Everyone is so focused on the politics that they screw the country over.

Why can't we get someone like this HERE! Why do some of OUR citizens hate our country so much that they spit all it daily?

I never gripe about our country only the politicians screwing it over for personal gain. And Hil-billy will never get in the office again except on a visit.

Grumpy: You assume much and are completely wrong. I never listen to Rush or Ann Coulter. They are both self righteous jerks. No different than Bill Maher or Al Fraken. All idiots that put their greed for power over the people.

Kudos to the French and German people for seeing the light and booting out those far-left leaders.

No. I don't find it at all ! There are some, ( myself included ), who have serious concerns regarding our current political leadership and the Bush administration in general.
But your premise is flawed. My love of the country and the Republic stops short of the band of true believers that siezed power in 2000 and its president. I will defend the Republic and the Constitution against the Bush administration and its enablers/supporters. Thankfully the GOP bulldozer is running out of gas. The conservative/evangelical/Republican movement is faltering and I take comfort in this.

Just when the liberals were telling us that the whole world had lost all respect for the U.S. here comes France to prove them wrong. There are other leaders that feel the same as the French President but we are not going to hear about it unless they make it known in such a way that the media can't ignore them.

What of the Libs fighting in Iraq as soldiers? You generalize so well. Dubya will been known as the great "divider", and that is bad for this country, especially when we need to stick together more,(now), than ever!

I am not sure when many Americans became so brainwashed that they started to believe that blindly obeying equates to patriotism.
It is the job of a patriot to ask questions. To challenge the government and most of all do this in the name of not only the now, but the future.

"when hillary is president"
Is she going to try again in 2012?
