Specifically blacks.
Note: You are entitled to your opinion, but I have a feeling that many people will state that welfare attracts minority voters to the Democrats. Statistically speaking there are more Caucasians on welfare than there is minorities simply because there is a higher population of Caucasians. Also, former Democratic president Bill Clinton (who is still well liked by minorities) signed into law the Personal Responsibility and Work Opportunity Reconciliation Act. Which took A LOT of people OFF welfare during his presidency. Also, it's not the Democrats giving out welfare it's the government as a whole.
Only reason I am stating this is because I often witness Republicans stating that only reason why minorities are Democrats is because of social welfare. But if you believe that is the reasoning, then you are entitled to your own opinion. But I really don't believe that's necessarily the case.
Opinions please.

I was driving in SC on my bike 81 in a 70 while on my bike i was pulled over the officer said that I was trying to run after I pulled over, I however was not and could not hear him over my bike's engine and wind after 8mi he said I finally pulled over (This was the first time I saw him in my mirror) I was taken to a crappy county jail and held 13 hours while my famiely in MD found a bonds man to pay my bail (680 the cost of my speeding and fail to stop ticket) Now after I have paid all my fines they have sent a letter to me in college saying my licience is susspened on the 10th november till 9th december.

My question is Is this legal? I was told that if I paid my fines I would just get points and my licience would be fine and this whole rediculous thing could be forgotten. SC is a crappy state and the redneck cop who pulled me over was rude and very unprofessional send me some advice or recomindations please!!!!!!

Should police officers be punished harsher for crimes than regular citizens? I know they serve the community and do a lot of good so that makes me want to say no, however when a police officer breaks the law it ruins the reputation of police, the government as a whole, the city, state, etc. It also hurt the faith of the rest of us in the police so for that reason I say yes. What do you think?

Over 3000 innocent people were killed in a dastardly attack. People are beheaded and innocent women and children are bombed. So does the same standard of humane treatment apply to the people capable of this type of action?
This is an argument often presented to condone torture. My question is this.
If we capture someone and use torture to determine their guilt, how were we certain that they were this type of monster before we tortured them. Is torture legitimate for everyone we capture because we were attacked? They are not entitled to a trial because they are terrorist. Okay I won't argue that but unless they admitted to being terrorist under torture or were found guilty in a trial how did we know they were terrorist? If we think someone is a terrorist and torture them to force them to talk, then how are we sure that the human standard doesn't apply to them if they haven't confessed yet? Isn't it possible that we might torture someone who is innocent? Is that justice?

we took all the proper steps by telling the authorities. Mom set up polygraphs for the eldest daughter and her husband. She cancelled her husbands. The daughter PASSED hers. Mom still thinks the kids are lying. Step dad was arrested and released. My hubby(dad) has a court order stating that the step dad is NOT to be present during moms visitation. Well mom decided this weekend that she wasn't going to follow it. Step daughter said step dad slept in garage, came in the house to use bathroom, get food. Step son went in jacuzzi with him. They also sat together in church. My husband and I are at our wits end with this woman. Any suggestions?

How is anybody to take the U.S. seriously when it claims to support democracy?
Why are weapons hardly part of sanctions? (Shouldn't they be the first things to go if we disapprove of a regime?)
And why is this information hardly ever publicized by news medias within our borders?

My husband is being sued in Small Claims Court by Capital One. He showed up for the hearing 3 weeks ago and there was a mix up and the court date was today. He showed up again, the lawyer was unprepared, and the judge gave them a contiuance even though my husband objected. We are unsure about how to fight this. We do not owe the amount of money they are saying we do and want to fight it but I am worried we are going to be picked apart by the lawyer and not get anywhere. Any advice?

Basically, Musharraf suspended the constitution and expelled most the Supreme Court because they were about to rule on his right to run for office. Is Bush going to act decisively to rein his old buddy back in? Or will the injustice be let float as a gift from one "world leader" to another?

On here, at least, it seems that the conservative Americans actually hate the liberal Americans... it seems to be far broader than being unsatisfied with the leadership of either party.

Is that how you feel? If so, why?

Well I will give you the full bit of information. I am 19 years old and my husband is 19 as well. We got married on July 12th, 2007 and well we found out in September that I was pregnant. Well Currently I am 15 weeks pregnant and my husband just left for basic training for the army, he is training at Fort Jackson, S.C. Well my question is things have been really hard for me to handle since he has been gone. Like I can't seem to stop myself from missing him! I know that I need to get over it and understand that he needs me to be strong for him but my question is, are their any support groups online or anyone else that is in the same boat as me? I need someone to talk to and I guess help me. Like both of are families are very involved with our marrige and support us but they just dont really help me. As in like support everytime I cry they tell me to just get over it! I don't think they understand I thought I could handle it but now I realize that I can't! Please help me! Thanks to all!

What do you think about a person who tries to use emergency and ambulance drivers for their personal use?
A neighbor of mine, who was quite elderly and very over weight, was always trying to beat the "system", one way or another, would have a "fall" about twice a month then call 9ll and ask for assistance in getting up and then would say "Oh, and would you please stop by and pick me up a hamberger on your way out? It never worked but she kept trying until they finally put her in a nurseing home

My family and I were at a place like Chucky Cheese but a lot larger and when we arrived there it was really crowded. We are white and it was 80% other but we were perfectly ok with that. We are not a racial family and have friends that are of all nationalities. We paid our money and went in. It was extremely overcrowded and over capacity. We got our food but there was no place to sit and the employees were overwhelmed and did not care that we had no where to sit. THey had 6-7 tables sectioned off for parties and would not let anyone sit there eventhough the parties were for later. We got a manager and she was of no help at all and had no idea what to do. We finally found a place and moved another table next to ours for more room. Final story, another party did not like us taking the table and got a police officer. He proceeded to take their side(he was of the same race) and laughed at us when we became upset. Then he proceeded to get in our face. Should I report him and the facility
