No. Money alone can't buy the presidency. Just ask Ross Perot about that.

Zero and he can help Obama be elected. The other thing to menion is that you are talking about going from the extreme left to the extreme right and thats not a good indicator of free will. This is a moderate country and only every once in awhile does someone from the extremes get elected. Obama is the most extreme President perhaps ever. Clinton was not a liberal, Bush was not a conservative. but both were hated by the extremes of their own parties. Only a moderate, bipartisan President can succeed. Bush worked with a Dem Congress for 6 of the 8 yrs he was in office and all of what liberals call his evil deeds were done with the approval and funding of the Dem Congress. Don't be a hater and don't let people lead you to hate. The people who live on the political extremes are just bipolar haters and that helps no one. You have no clue of what Ron Paul is about, and I suspect you don't know much about Obama either. Don't let people, or let yourself be pulled into political extremes.

Absolutely. More money gives him a much better chance of winning. A recent poll shows that 74% of American's think this country is heading in the wrong direction. That's a lot of people looking for a candidate that will make the changes this country desperately needs.
Do you want a president that's going to keep rolling down the path we're on? That eliminates most of the Republicans.
And it's time to keep the Bush family as well as the Clintons out of the White House for good. 28 years is long enough.
Money will definately help get Ron Paul's message of change out there through radio ads and TV commercials. Especially considering the fact that he is so ignored my the media outlets.

I don't know where you people have been, money can buy votes, it almost bought John Kerry the election.
I think that the telling factor here is the fact that with the Internet, you don't need as much money to get your message out. The fact of the Internet is changing the face of the electoral process, and just as money wasn't enough to counter the Internet in John Kerry's case, it may be enough to bring Ron Paul the nomination, with or without vast sums of money. The large amounts of money being raised will excite some interest from the people who don't get on the Internet, but that number is rapidly diminishing.
Nobody in my family had ever heard of Ron Paul until I started talking about what was being discussed here. Now we are all talking about it, and while some of us will continue to vote for others, some of us will vote for him. It took no money to do that.

right now he's already got a huge following, but most of those that don't follow him, just don't know him. (or they've been brainwashed by the current administration and fox news) This money will make many more people know him, and so far America likes his message, so yes, he's got a damn good chance.

YES!!!
The mainstream press cannot ignore him now with the grass roots support he is receiving.
I'm very proud to say I have helped in today's fund raising campaign,,,,,and I'm very far from a wealthy man.
Here is a link to his army of voters & supporters.
Please compare the numbers to the other candidates.

P.S. the money he raises today will buy him much more advertising!
Are You Ready For The Ron Paul Political REVOLUTION????

He can certainly do more advertising now, and get his message out more effectively.
But to win, his message will need to really resonate with the American Voters.

Money can't buy votes, you need to have a stance on the different issues that the majority of voters agree with.
Frankly I don't think he has put himself on TV and radio enough in the media outlet that potential supporters listen to.
Plus, He seems a bit loony.

He can't win without votes, and he is not doing well in that regard. The funding becomes irrelevant without votes.
