Why do you feel the U.S.A. has its military all over the world?

Most countries in which we have a significant military presence want us there for a variety of economic and National Security regions. Also we are everywhere because terrorism is everywhere. And for the rest most of those countries we only have very small security detatchments that guard embassies. Take the Phillipines, we had a base there and they asked us to leave and we did, now less than 20 years later they are practically begging us to come back. People love the American Military the benefits of having us around.

I suppose being the best trained and best equipped military in history is an awesome responsibility. We are in many countries because we have been asked to be there, we are in others because we needed to be there.
People tend to forget or ignore that we are at war with international terrorism, for the first time in history we are actually taking the offensive against this. And it is not just UBL.
Sorry but 138 countries? And in my 22 years of active service I only made it to about 20 of those. Wished I could visit another 100.

We are invited and assist the country in increasing its revenue. Best example is Japan and South Korea. We invested jobs and local commerce to the countries when they were flat on their back due to war. Look how far they have both come with our assistance.
