My family and I were at a place like Chucky Cheese but a lot larger and when we arrived there it was really crowded. We are white and it was 80% other but we were perfectly ok with that. We are not a racial family and have friends that are of all nationalities. We paid our money and went in. It was extremely overcrowded and over capacity. We got our food but there was no place to sit and the employees were overwhelmed and did not care that we had no where to sit. THey had 6-7 tables sectioned off for parties and would not let anyone sit there eventhough the parties were for later. We got a manager and she was of no help at all and had no idea what to do. We finally found a place and moved another table next to ours for more room. Final story, another party did not like us taking the table and got a police officer. He proceeded to take their side(he was of the same race) and laughed at us when we became upset. Then he proceeded to get in our face. Should I report him and the facility

Should I worry about any negative waves towards me or my family when it is a police department? How could I report this without being traced?

This was a city police officer working an extra job and it was completely racial because another person unrelated to us told us the officer was saying things about our race but we did not get their name since it was a really frightening experience.

Just some more info, this officer was the only one there and the facility was around 20,000 sq ft.

In regards to the table, this was given to us by the manager and not intended to another party bu they thought they attempted to bully us into taking the table. We were not bothering anyone and they approached us.

Number one, the police officer had no hurisdiction in a private facility unless you are breaking the law. I do not see where you were breaking the law.
Sounds to me the other party just wanted to give you a hard time. I would report the officer to the police department he works for and demand a copy of the internal investigation. As for the establishment, I don't think there is a damn thing you can do about them except report them to the fire department for haveing too many people inside. You can get your revenge that way. Otherwise, just do not go there anymore.
It sounds like a lousy and racious establishment to me.

What racial situation? I dont see one. I see someone who couldnt wait for a table, didnt like where they ended up sitting and who moved to another table that was promised to another party. Typical restaurant scenario. It happens thousands of times a day across the country. I worked in restaurants for 15 years. I know what I'm talking about here.

The cop? Probably didnt want to have an incident. The people who called the cop? Idiots no doubt. Racism? If you think this is racism, you obviously havent seen enough of it to know what it is. The cop made a joke about your race? What did he do? Call you a cracker or something? Heh, it happens. People do stupid things sometimes. Unless you have some kind of proof that any of the treatment in the pizza joint was racially motivated...and I suspect not only that you dont have proof, I will go on to say that it WASNT racially motivated...I'd say you are getting all worked up for nothing.

As for what you should do? Stop eating at giant humoungous pizza factories that serve cardboard crust with non dairy chese. Find yourself a hole in the wall ma and pop Italian pizzeria, get yourself a nice thin crust sausage and mushroom and perhaps a cheese pie for the kiddies and forget about it. Life is MUCH too short to make a big deal out of such a meaningless incident.

If you say you are not a racial family, why do you keep bringing up race? By doing that, you make it racial. Refer to everyone as people, not their color. And by claiming to not be racist, but note what everyone's race was, you are perpetuating racism.
The story should have been more about how you had no place to sit and no one would help you. I too bet that the officer was just a rent-a-cop security guard.
Just don't go back there.

No do not report anyone it is not worth it. Do what we do here in South Africa where there has been a lot of racial tension. Get up and leave. There are lots of other Restaurants in your neighbourhood? I actually can not believe that the Police will get themselves involved in such a matter? Surely there was no need to call the police for something so trivial like "Duh ... this dude took our table, officer ..." Do the Police arrest people for table hopping in your country? Please: de minimis non curat lex. The Law should not involve itself with triviallities. Do not get upset about things like that it is really not worth it! The manager should really get more training to handle matters like that!

what has this entire story have to do with a 'racial situation'?

You have no legal issue whatsoever so complain to whomever you wish. It will make you look the fool.

If you really want to complain and make it stand, then do so with your wallet and do not return to the place.

and by the way, I do not believe this to be a police officer. This would have been a civil matter on private property and the police would not have intervened. It was most likely a security guard.
