That war was the worse thing in this country. Those U.S.-back and funded Contras came into our barrios in Managua and practically closed off the streets, went into the houses killed those they BELIEVED were with the Sandinistas and raped the woman. My great grandfather was at the door and he managed to murder 13 of those evil people. The Sandinistas did more for the country in one year than the Somoza dictators did in their 3 generations of dictatorship. Over 50% of there people here were illiterate, and with the help of the Sandinista and Cuba that percentage went down to less than 12% in less than 5 months...

Should they give back "advanced weaponry" from the 1980". Helloooo, it is a beand new century now. Most of those weapons are either used or gone to seed by now. The legality of the whole mess aside, the weapons were purchased by Iran and the funds were funnelled, also illegally, to the Contras in Nicaraqua.

Yes, they should bring every weapon back to the border and hand the keys over to the Commander of the American Forces. They are bad people miss using virtuous weapons manufactured in America for world peace! Bad Iran leaders, Bad!
There, that will show them!

When Ronald Reagan took office America faced a determined enemy whose goal was to destroy our way of life He stayed hard pressed and stuck to his principles during two terms and helped win a battle of ideologies that many thought could not be won. Reagan understood that true peace could only be won through strength. He understood that as long as the soviet union and its its allies existed it would be a threat to peace and that appeasement could never bring lasting safety to America and her allies. He stood up to the soviets its allies until they eventually collapsed. Allies were forged and pacts were made and not always with the right people but in the end The greatest symbol of hate and division around the world came tumbling down "Mr Gorbacheve, open this gate..Mr Gorbacheve, tear down this wall" God bless Ronald wilson Reagan.

Those weapons are probably junk by now anyways. We really need another $20.00 in scrap iron.
