we own our own house but not yhe land it sits on. the land has been sold and we have to leave our home. no compensation?

Your rights are normally specified in the contract you signed when you leased the land. I have no idea why you feel you have to leave your home as this situation normally applies only to mobile homes. Move the home to another location.

Is this a "mobile home"? If so, do you have a lease? If not, prepare to move.
If this is in the U..S., check with the local municipality or the state. You can do a search like "rental laws in xxxxxx" (xxxxx=name of state)

Then you live in a mobile home and you will be evicted from the land if you do not move in the time given.
