I'm all about privatized education and so my child, who is currently being diagnosed with a learning disability, goes to private schools that we pay for out of pocket.

We're not "categorized" just yet, but will be soon. My spouse is up for orders beginning next month and am wondering if they are going to limit our choice of orders.

The US economy is booming.
Illegal immigration is booming.
Is this a strange 'coincidence', or what?
You can't have your cake and eat it. Right?
Wrong.
Give them a path towards legalisation, (learn English, undergo background criminal check, have a job) and watch the cake get bigger.
And some people have to stop this delusion about 'deporting them all'. It's never going to happen.
Opinions?

Hi everyone, this is a poll for my AP US Government and Politics class, and I'd really appreciate it if as many people as possible gave their opinions;

QUESTION:
On October 3rd, President Bush vetoed $35 billion for the State Children’s Health Insurance Program (SCHIP), a bill that funds coverage for 6.6 million children of families who earn too little to afford health insurance but too much to qualify for Medicaid. Have you heard about the SCHIP Bill, and are you in favor or against it?

(A) Strongly favor
(B) Somewhat favor
(C) Somewhat oppose
(D) Strongly oppose
(E) Haven't heard or read about it

Also, if it wouldn't be a hassle, can you include what political label (conservative, liberal, libertarian, etc) that you associate yourself with?? Thank you so much! =]

CONTRARY to popular belief you dont have to wait this holiday season in line just to exit the store by having the employees check your reciept to your bag (in any store).

Its a voluntary search you agree to by giving them your receipt and allowing them to do it.

BY LAW...no store employee can demand to see your personal belongings unless they have witnessed you trying to leave the store without paying for merchandise, or
witnessed you trying to hide merchandise in your personal belongings and exit the store

There have been many lawsuits springing up because Best Buy employees have went to lengths to stop and even block people from leaving, without legal authority.

Last year they blocked an off duty police officer and actually followed him to his car and parked behind him....
When the police came, they realized they were illegally detaining a police offficer.

EVEN IF THE BUZZARD GOES OFF,
.you dont have to let anyone search you or your belongings.

ITS LAW...call police check it

I hear Dems moan about global warming, but GM, Ford, and Volkswagon say that consumers don't want small cars.

What's up, Dems? Why don't ALL of you buy small cars?

Why are you helping to destroy the planet and kill polar bears?

Socialist Europe has a higher currency less debt and a higher standard of living for it's people The EU as a group (and that is what there money is based on ) has a greater GDP than the US

Europe is heavily socialist compared to Canada which is much more socialist than the US

Why is Europe missing from the examples of doom and gloom when discussing moderate socialist reforms ?Or is their examples only doom and gloom or the 1% of the rich ion the US ?

Okay, soo I was trespassing after dark in a cemetery, wasn't doing anything wrong, just exploring. Cops stop me, tell me they know I wasn't vandalizing, but "They've been coming down hard on us about this lately, so we just can't let you go" sooo they give me a thing I have to sign, which also tells me when my court date is(dec 13th) now they said I didn't have to go, but I could if I wanted to.

what I'm wondering is if I'm going to be getting a letter in the mail. I'm 18, but my parents like to read my mail..and I just dont thin k its their buisiness.. So, what I'm wondering is if I'm going to have to look for a letter in the mail? Will the court or the police be writing me for any reason? and if so, is there a way I can get them to mail me at a friends house or something of the sort? or maybe I can just go to the court or post office directly to pick up my mail?

No one 'controls' Congress, the Dems only have a SIMPLE majority

eg until the Democrats have 60 seats in the Senate, and a WORKING majority, they have no control.

My cousin's husband has cheated on her. They're both military (Air Force)and have a kid together . My question is that is there some kind of law in the military that can punish the husband if she shows evidence of the cheating and how can she arrange well for a divorce. They 're stationed together in same base, guess is some kind of program they have.

"People line up for care; some of them die. That's what happens," Canadian doctor David Gratzer, author of The Cure, told "20/20". Gratzer thought the Canadian system was great until he started treating patients. "The more time I spent in the Canadian system, the more I came across people waiting. ... You want to see your neurologist because of your stress headache? No problem! You just have to wait six months. You want an MRI? No problem! Free as the air! You just gotta wait six months."
