Everyone.

I am a Christian, independent, slightly left of moderate, Pro-President Bush and Pro-Choice and Anti-Prison and Pro-Death Sentence person.

People on every side of the political and religious spectrum hate my positions and people on every side of the political spectrum love my positions.

I feel very strongly about my political positions and I actually bother to educate myself on the political situation and policies.

That means I tend to upset everyone, from people without strong political positions to people with strong political positions in opposition to mine.

That is the problem with being an educated independent voter.

I am too smart and too educated to fall for propaganda or support a political candidate just because a political party tells me to.

I probably get thumbs down from both sides. I think I probably get the occasional thumbs up from both sides.
Many of the questions here are worded with an inherent bias. If the question is from a "pro lib" perspective, the libs are likely to give me the thumb down. I general get a larger proportion of thumbs down when I answer a question with a clear "pro-conservative" bias. Typically, I suspect the more firmly your mind is made up, the more likely I'll get a thumb down from you,. Both sides are getting pretty shrill.

Edit - It looks as if those who are expressing a strong bias themselves are getting thumbs down on THIS question. I thought the purpose of the thumb down was to indicate a bad answer. HOW can we have a "bad" answer to a question that asks us our personal perception as this question did? Even if I think someone is a cache of nuts without a good squirrel, I am not qualified to tell him if his own perception is wrong. I can tell him if the facts support what he thinks, but I can not tell him what he thinks.

Leftists thumb me down. Most moderates probably don't respond because I am usually right or they just don't care.

I don't consider a political answer I give to be a success unless I get at least 5 thumbs down (and I generally get 8 to 10 thumbs down if I provide links to reputable sources backing my position, that's how I know it's Libs thumbing me down).

Really, I think I but heads with republicans most (not conservatives). I think I don't get as many thumbs down as most, but usually I'm just guessing it's republicans.

I think they don't like it when I insinuate that they're liberal. I believe the republican party has gone down hill and the only real republicans are in the libertarian party now. The republican party hasn't stood for low taxes and small government for a while now.

I'm unhappy with both of the major parties. I think the Republicans are partisan obstructionists who are getting their faces rubbed in their hypocrisy and corruption. The Democrats are guttless wonders who don't have the backbone to stand up to Bush and his cronies.

Any candidate for president who tells us what they will or will not do, if and when elected, is full of hot air because no one knows what kind of mess Bush and Cheney are going to leave us in.

I get thumbs down from both sides.

I'm a lib and I get plenty of thumbs down. I'm guessing anytime people see the words "I'm a lib", that's where the reading stops and the thumbs down is given. I don't really care. It's just an opinion.

I oftentimes do no longer difficulty with score, yet once I do, own insults get a thumbs-down and correctly-presented solutions which talk to me get a thumbs-up. i am going one way or the different, reckoning on the difficulty to hand, so strict ideology would not factor into my rankings.

I'd say both sides are. My answers are usually ambiguous and rip on both sides of the political spectrum. I like to think I get the thumbs up from smart people who see through the sarcasm.

**So you got that?! Thumb me down and you're an idiot!!**
lol, I kid :P
