In New York, Democrats want to give drivers licenses to illegal immigrants. I think this is completely ridiculous and am strongly against it. What is your view on it?

A side point, what do you think about torture on suspected terrorists? Should it be legal or not?

Given all of the laws Bush has broken, both domestic and international, is there anywhere he can go to avoid jail after he leaves office? Would Hillary grant him a universal pardon so that he could retire in Crawford, TX, possibly under house arrest?

My fiancee's ex husband recently lost his cell phone. He has 50% custody of their daughter. Now, he says that he won't have a phone until next week. Well, he lives 45 minutes away from us in a rural area. He has cerebral palsy, so if his daughter hurt herself, it's not like he can run out to a neighbor. What is the law? Does he need to have a phone? Can my girlfriend refuse to let him have his daughter until he gets a phone. We live in California. Oh, by the way, this morning, my gf got a call from the school saying that her daughter was absent. She can't get a hold of her ex, and if he doesn't call within the next hour, we are both going to drive down to his place. Please ADVICE ANYONE!

Dow Jones was down 260 points this afternoon. The Fed pumped in $41 Billion to stop the slide. This is the second time since August this has happened yet Bush tells us the economy is just great. He also claims there's no money for social programs, threatening to veto everything that comes out of Congress, yet it's OK to bail out big business. I really don't understand this, could some one explain without getting all testy about it.

This question is for a legal expert or someone in the legal profession. ( I ask it in first person, though the person is NOT me).

Q: I was accused, arrested and tried for a crime.

I was tried by jury and was found not guilty.

Some people still think I was guilty and say so. I believe they have a right to voice their opinion.

However, one person took a picture of a jail cell, indicated that this should be my home and posted it on the Interent with my name on it.

Do I have a case against this person or persons or do I just consider it name calling and forget it?

of the documents from her years in the White House that would (or would not) prove her case for being experienced; what is she hiding?

BTW, the papers are at the Clinton Library in Little Rock, AR. The library is managed by the National Archives via your tax dollars. President Clinton issued a blanket order making Hillary's paper trail in the White House off-limits to anyone who asks the National Archives folks at the library to take a look at them.

My guess is that the documentation establishing just what she was up to in the White House during the '90s would portray her in a distinctly unflattering light. With negatives in the 40-45% range she can't afford to p*ss off the women or the swing voters by showing herself this early.

She said during the debate that, really, it's not her fault that folks can't get at her record; no, she's sure they'll be made available "just as soon as possible".

So, it's "Trust me & elect me based on my experience.", is it? WHAT "experience"?!?

Abortion. Welfare. Gun control. Affirmative Action. Why do all of your (failed) "solutions" focus on the EFFECT rather than the CAUSE?

In the business world, this type of reactionary policy is known as "certain failure".

Oh, it would be great to hear from liberals who can reply without using terms like "neocon", re-pud-licans", "Gay Old Party", or any other childish term that is being heard on the playground at recess THIS week. Furthermore, refraining from making any reference to President Bush will significantly increase your chances of being perceived as credible. Lastly, any comments that attempt to divert attention away from the subject by digressing into other tangents will automatically expose the poster as the uneducated cretin that he/she is.

Got that?

Help please!

My friend has high fees due to tickets in Mississippi (2 separate counties) and then has high fees in another state that occurred years ago.(North Carolina, this state was where the suspension took place)

Now, because of his lack of judgement and financial situation. Fate has stepped in, his employer is demanding he produce a license SOON. Unfortunately he does not have the money to pay the high fees. I need some advice to give, any suggestions.

I don't know the rules for Mississippi and I don't think a hardship license is applicable in this case. But I'm no professional. Any input would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

I was in Boston after the Red Sox won the World Series and celebrating outside and the next thing I knew all these police running down the street grabing who ever they could handcuffing them and dragging me and a bunch of other people to be placed on buses and being arrested for disorderly conduct. Is this the proper way to treat people. It took like 5 hrs for me to get booked and than they took everyone in front of the judge in the afternoon and he continued the cases till December - Does anyone know what the sentence or fine will be.

Private wealth specialists Lewis Schiff and Russ Alan Prince found the number of Americans with $1 million to $10 million had risen to 8.4 million households -- or 7.6 percent of U.S. households -- and was growing at 15 percent a year.

But instead of entering the echelons of the elite, these new millionaires adhere to middle-class values, earning their money rather than inheriting it, working 70 hours a week, and choosing neighborhoods based on the quality of schools.

Do you think someone is crazy for seeing a UFO??? I don't. I think someone is crazy if they jump to ungrounded conclusions about what it might be. like: aliens or flying saucers or extradimensional beings. Designating the object "UNIDENIFIED" is the most logical way to do it right? One cannot unsee what they have already seen, correct? And if he was more interested in protecting his candidacy than telling the truth, then why wouldn't he simply deny that he saw anything?

The IP address of the person was traced to the TELUS servers and since the IP address belongs to the company and does not point to an individual's computer location, I was told that the company as a whole cannot be held liable. Does that mean that anyone can hide behind a company firewall and hack people's websites? Is there no law which can hold this person liable? If needed, is there a way to track the computer from where this was done?
