I was in Boston after the Red Sox won the World Series and celebrating outside and the next thing I knew all these police running down the street grabing who ever they could handcuffing them and dragging me and a bunch of other people to be placed on buses and being arrested for disorderly conduct. Is this the proper way to treat people. It took like 5 hrs for me to get booked and than they took everyone in front of the judge in the afternoon and he continued the cases till December - Does anyone know what the sentence or fine will be.

You will probably be given the opportunity to plead guilty to disturbing the peace. Usually comes with a $300 - $500 fine, plus court costs, and 12-18 months of probation.

If you don't get an adjudicated sentence(slap on the hand) you'll get a fine. If you did not resist or cause problems chances are they will drop the charges. Right now the judge is sorting out who did what and gathering evidence. If anyone was caught on camera doing something wrong, they may get a different treatment, but you should be okay.

The same thing happened when the Rockets won the Championship years ago. I ran out into the streets of Houston and we were standing on the tops of cars and what not. In the end the judge threw all but the most blatant cases out.

What do you mean be celebrating? The police clearly felt there was more going on than a peaceful celebration. If they arrested a lot of people, it would take a lot of time to process all of those people which would explain why you had to wait five hours to be booked. If you are found guilty of disorderly conduct, a petty misdemeanor, you will likely pay a fine and be done with it.

there is no justice in the U.S. anymore. Don't go it alone. Find others that were falsely arrested and work together. Don't cop a plea. If you do that then they will just keep doing it to other people. Make them give you a lawyer. Paying for one doesn't insure you better representation and you don't get your money back even if your acquitted. They have to give you a trial after a certain period of time or drop the charges, so stick it out. Make sure you are ready and don't trust your lawyer to present all the facts. Only you know what really went on. learn all you can about the local laws but especially your constitutional rights (U.S. and state) Good luck.

Hmmm let's see In what manner you were you celebrating? Throwing things? Maybe instead of going to say a bar or friends to celebrate, ya were verbally abusing the losers to the point of harassment?
Mobs are dangerous, and if you are part of one, don't be surprised when yer treated like ya were. C'mon, we all have seen what happens when large groups of people get out of hand.
LOL this is part of the reason why we stay home anymore.
Not to mention parking is always a crapshoot.

What do youmean "proper way to treat people?" If you were violating a law, you get arrested. That's how it goes. There's no "proper way to treat" about it. And if there's a whole mob of you, yeah it's gonna take a bus to get you there and five hours to book you all! You'll probably just be fined, but it really depends on how sick the judge is of dealing with these cases by the time he/she gets to you and how polite you are to them while you're in court.

Sounds like a misdemeanor. And since they just grabbed everyone at random you may be able to talk your way out of it. Retain your ticket stub, hotel receipt and bring letters to the judge from friends who can vouch that you are a honorable citizen.

OK, they just ran down the street grabbing whoever they could?

Ok, really what were you doing? according to what you said they couldve arrested 10,000 people but they didn't they arrested you...

If you weren't really doing anything, get a lawyer and you will get off..

but in reality, which is where we are... you will probably get 6 months probation and a 200.00 fine..
