Soldiers are not being allowed to go home. If you think your mind can handle being stuck in a combat situation FAR longer than American soldiers have ever been stuck in one before...
If you think your body can handle being exposed to depleted uranium for years and years...
By all means join.
Don't believe ANYTHING a recruiter tells you.
The cancer rate is ridiculous in Iraq and casualties are far greater than the public is being led to believe. You sure wouldn't be defending the USA. You'd be fighting against the USA on the side of the "globalists" who've taken control of "our" government that is clearly no longer "for the people". When will you idiots wake up???
Terrorism is using fear to gain power. EXACTLY what "our" treasonous, corrupt government is doing.

Hello, I'm not going to try to be a recruiter. The only physical aspects is in basic traing and that goes by so fast. Waht is it now a couple of months. To tell you its hard would be a lie, to tell you its easy would also be a lie. It depends on you.
Its an 8 hour job and then you have the rest of the day off, trust me. Do not think any other way because thats what it is. Get up early in the morning and listen at the drill instructer hollar, they can't hollar that long so take it with a grain of salt, they just want you to be disciplined.Remember our parents were our first drill instructers.
The war (hmmm) is being led by a bunch clowns, if I were in charge we would stay on the outbanks and capture those when they come in to TOWN.

It is VERY hard but whoever puts his/her mind on it will be able to handle it. Initial training consist not only of physical but more so of emotional and psychological re-shaping. So basically, the Army, would like to make a new (better) YOU!

About like warehouse work, in regard to lifting. Most of the physical stress of the military involves lack of sleep in basic training or on field maneuvers. Imagine sleeping 4 hours per day and working the other 20.

Tens of millions of men have gone before you and have been able to handle it.
You're just as good as any of them.
When I started basic, i couldn't run a mile, period. by the time it was over, 6 minutes flat! Their program works! You come in as a pussycat and leave like a lion! Trust me on this.

Absolutely, one of the main goals of basic training is to get you into peak physical condition, you will work out in short blocks several times a day trough out you're training, and slowly build up to more and more straining task's.
Any one can do it, all you need is a little determination, and remember to stretch.

I would like to add to the positive comments here that the Army acclimates you to it. The primary idea is for you to succeed. When I went through BCT/Infantry AIT I looked at all the graduates and told myself then, if that many can do it then by god so can I.
