See if you can follow this...

A grandmother wrote a will that leaves 1/2 of her money to her son (the executor of the will) and 1/2 to her daughter. The will stipulates that if one of the children dies, all the money goes to the other child. After the will was written, both the son and the daughter had children of their own.. and the executor did not recommend that the will be changed to reflect the change.

The daughter died, and then the grandmother died... and all her money was left to the son, instead of 1/2 to the son and 1/2 to her daughter's children.

Is there a conflict of interest here and grounds for contesting the will?

Just heard on the radio today that those without insurance in SoCal are eligible for a FEMA check of $28k to help them rebuild/replace. Why was the ability to rebuild/replace only assessed at $2k for Katrina? I understand that the cost of living is higher in CA than LA, but to the tune of $26k difference? Let's talk about personal accountability here, as well, this is for UNinsured people.

Believe it or not, I think it could still be the USA.

Although who knows what could happen over such a long time.

100 years from now the USA could have 88 states, and it may not even be called the USA. And we could just be getting over World War VI.

But seriously, in 100 years the concept of the nation state will not be what it is today. The USA could still be on top, but so could China, India, or even Russia.

It will be a very different world.

For example, I've thought of witnesses. Police both interview witnesses who will later appear in court for their crime. As well, many times, police themselves are the very witnesses, in some incidents.

I need ideas such as this...
Thank you. :)

Thats what happened to Louisiana hundreds of thousands of illegal aliens if not millions converged on the state and there was practically no work for the victims of the hurricane and most of the reconstruction money was mailed back to Mexico to the pleasure of Vicente Fox. Do you think there will ever be an end to the rape of our nation?

When two super powers ruled the world, there was no need for small countries, like Iran, to develop nuclear weapons. Every country on the planet was protected by the nuclear shield of either the USA or the USSR. MAD kept the peace.
Does the world need a Ying and Yang, like the USA and the USSR, to keep a balance.

I'm not looking for opinions on the conflict, but what countries would do what if the US used force on Iran. Iran's leader makes it seem like the US is alone in wanting to dismantle the Iranian Nuclear Program, and that it's "safe" from US attack. http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20071026/ap_o...

But obviously Israel would be right there alongside the US entering Iran. But what would other countries do? http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20071026/ap_o...
Would Europe help the US with an invasion? Britain probably would, but what about any of the others? Would Russia actually come down and fight against the US, Israel, and part of Europe with Iran over there new puppet Iran? Would the new tension with Russia and the EU/the US over missile defense have any weight in the issue?

Not looking for a direct answer to each question, just basically, how would the world react?

I am considering joining the Air Force. Before I do, I need to know from people who are there, whether or not you think this is a good move. I just don't want to feel like I've wasted 4 years of my life, doing something that will not benefit me in the long run.

First of all, it seems like the USAF is mostly for people seeking a technical career. I want a degree in English and I am minoring in film. I know the Air Force will pay 100% for my education and also that they will give me money when I leave if I sign up for the GI bill. I need to know what field pays well when you leave and is in high demand and what jobs are good for women to succeed at after leaving, if you are only there for a short period of time. I may stay longer if I like it, Most people seem to enjoy it and benefit from it alot. I am currently 24, so when I get out, I'll be 28. Most people go straight out of highschool. Do you think this may be for me? I was going for financial and educational reasons.
