Thats what happened to Louisiana hundreds of thousands of illegal aliens if not millions converged on the state and there was practically no work for the victims of the hurricane and most of the reconstruction money was mailed back to Mexico to the pleasure of Vicente Fox. Do you think there will ever be an end to the rape of our nation?

For your information we have a surge from all kinds of countries. Look around and if you stop concentrating on one country you will see millions of Asians and many more from the country's that killed our Americans in the 9-11 attack so the surge is from all countries not just one. It amazes me how we Americans are so inclined to attack one country, I think when addressing illegals you should do it clear across the board. Our nation got murdered and that was worse then anything that could be happening.. How quickly you all forget 9-11. That affected me more then anything and we are here talking about one country. Lets make it clear we want all country's to enter legally or stay out.

We've already had an overwhelming surge here in CA. I think we are already seeing the beginning of the end of the rape of our nation. California is just a bit slow on the uptake. Considering the fires, every way we've handled it to this point has been far different from what you saw in Louisiana and it will continue to be so. The illegals just played their final card here in having a part in those fires, stealing donations, and looting. The medical care provided to illegal burn victims is tremendous...sad that they burned but at this point...we're tapped out with thinking about what is sad for them with over 70 hospitals closed here. The disgust over having to provide fire information in spanish has been evident, they were refusing to evacuate until we wasted further time and money convincing them that they weren't being tricked. Guess they can't smell or see fire unless it's in spanish. Whatever. It's over now. When we get back up off of our knees...they're out.

I saw that Bush had 'authorized federal funding' for 3000 'temporary workers' for rebuilding and I cringed. Fortunately, there are a lot of people in San Diego who are opposed to illegal immigration, and unlike Katrina, they are not absent homeowners who won't notice. If that happens, I expect we will hear about it.

The Reps from San Diego and Orange County I am familiar with are in Tancredo's anti illegal immigration caucus. I suspect they will keep an eye on it, too, but for those who live there, it wouldn't hurt to write them. Those particular Reps flew out to have feet on the ground and obviously want a role in this. I get the feeling there was more corruption than competency in the Louisiana situation. (Of course, the damage there was much more universal, and access alone was problematic.)

CA has already had a "surge".

My hope is that they all hit the road now.

It sounds like you have formulated your own answer instead of asking a question.
