HI There, We recently purchased a house in an area we believed to be quiet and without many social issues. We asked the vendors if there were any problems in the neighbourhood and were told it was a very quiet area and they were very sorry to leave. Four weeks after moving in we have been informed by one of our new neighbours that the previous owners had a huge problem with a family that lived at the rear of the property who put windows through, broke into their shed on numerous occasions and generally caused a headache throughout the entire neighbourhood. We moved to this area to get away from this kind of problem and discussed this with the vendors when viewing the property - but the issue was never disclosed to us. Would we have any redress financially from the vendors in a situation such as this - especially as we wouldnt have paid as much for the property or even purchased it at all if we had known the real situation as the family in question are still causing havoc in this area.

What happens to our right to bear arms? Canadian and Mexican citizens are both not allowed to legally bear arms. How could they make this work? Would our constitution still stand in light of this Union? Bearing arms as well as a gazillion different things has crossed my mind. Minimum wage, social security are a couple others. With that said, Im not a gun person, never have been, and never thought I would be. I now am looking at this Union and wondering if I should bear arms now before I lose the chance. Is it possible to have this Union with 2/3 of it not legally not being able to bear arms and let a 1/3 keep their right to do so?

This just don't sound right. Buddy of mine just received notice of a lifetime ban on all VA benefits. Far as I know all he did was have someone else fill out some papers for him. When the tricare doc got pinched for fraud he gave a list of names. Embassy says no appeal. What can an old jarhead do to get this straight?

I am American. And after the war and our stupid f*cking president...I am ashamed to admit that I am American.

My question is for anyone living in another country.
Why do you assume all Americans are the same?
Why do you assume that all of us want this war?
Why do you assume that we think its right to kill thousands of children for PEACE???
It makes no sense.
(I know not ALL of you do this, but can you at least tell me why OTHERS do this?)

There is an old saying...Bombing for peace is like f*cking for virginity.
This war is wrong.
Our president is a idiot. He has ruined this country of any good reputation it could have possibly had.

And that is not a opinion.

I have been working for my current employee for two years now. I would like to file a harassment lawsuit against the company due to fact that my co-worker has been harassing me non stop, in which the company knows about it but, wont do anything due to the fact that she has been on the job for about 19 or 20 years. The president of the company has say things to me like, "dont worry about it", "she's just in a bad mood", "she's having woman problems" (she did have surgery). Nothing but excuses for me to not get upset or take it personally or offensivly. I'm sick of it and really tired of coming to work feeling uncomfortable. Sometimes I would just sit in my office and cry. I think its really bad, that people think they could treat people any kind of way they want and feel they could get away with it. The crazy thing about it, is that she only treats me this way. None of my other co-workers gets the treatment. What steps do I take to file the suit. What type of evidence do I need?

I'm in the same situation as others - trying to cancel my DirecTV service however I don't see why I should have to pay the fee. When I got the service I was told that there are cancellation loopholes - residences where dishes are not allowed and etc. My concern comes from holding up the truth. I inquired about the cancellation procedure - receiver return and such. To my surprise I was being quoted the fee babble. After heated debate the rep. stated that a dish can be put anywhere, including condo buildings and started quoting FCC regulations at me. I was told that the dish could be on the tripod on the roof, on a balcony, or attached to the wall outside. The Aha - I'm moving to a 30 floor condo building (I'm no where need the top), no balconies, & roof pool (that is the top level). I checked FCC & according to what they say I shouldn't have to pay, but DTV thinks I should pay. What is the best way to tackle the issue?

Brief background about the case:
I bought a car back on June, the day following the purshase I found out the car has a lienholder. The seller promised to pay off the loan or return my money. the seller stopped anwering my phone calls and he did not do anything. I contacted the police and filled a police report. Last week I got a phone call from the detective's office that the district attorney`s office accepted the follow up of the case and most probably the judgy going to order a restitution. I m not sure how that works,,If I am going to get my money back,,,what about if the defendant has no money,,,should I fill a case with the court....I have no idea what is the next step...please clarify if it`s possible...thanks in advance
