Read his words carefully and digest them. This is precisely what we as Americans MUST do to survive.
A house divided will not stand.

"I Do Not Belong To Al-Qaeda... But We Share A Common Goal"

Sheikh Hassan Al-Harsi: "I am not a terrorist. It is the Americans, Bush, and his army who are the terrorists. They are annihilating the peoples of Afghanistan, Iraq, Somalia, Lebanon, and Palestine. The terrorists are the infidels, led by Bush. We are reformers, not terrorists. I am one of the mujahid sheikhs. My affiliation with Al-Qaeda is like my affiliation with Hamas, the Islamic Jihad, and the mujahideen in Iraq, Afghanistan, and Kashmir. The mujahideen support one another, and the infidels also support one another. The mujahideen are our brothers. Allah said: 'The believers are but brethren.' From this perspective, I am a member of Al-Qaeda, and it is part of me. In short, I do not belong to Al-Qaeda as an organization, but we share a common goal – jihad against the enemies."

What do you think was going through this principal's mind to not have enough time to check into this problem? Aren't these kinds of problems in her job description? I think she needs to be held accountable for something......anyone agree?

"Intelligence Squared U.S., the Oxford style, three-on-three debate series sponsored by The Rosenkranz Foundation, announced the results of Tuesday night's debate on the motion, "Let's stop welcoming undocumented immigrants." A packed audience at Asia Society and Museum, New York City voted 60% for the motion and 37% against at the conclusion of the debate. 3% were undecided."

This is a debate system where the audiance is polled before and after the debate. Prior to the debate the results had been " 42% for the motion that the U.S. should stop welcoming illegal immigrants, with 34% against and 24% undecided."

Panelists for the debate were Vernon M. Briggs, Jr. of Cornell University, Mark Krikorian of the Center for Immigration Studies, and Heather Mac Donald of Manhattan Institute speaking for the motion,

With his recent comments & current age I believe he should be evaluated to see if he even knows what year it is. He is representing God knows who for the only purpose that I can tell is to destroy our reputation. We don't need senile old farts like him out muddying the waters at this critical time. He should stay home at his peanut farm & share all of these theories with his hound dog & give us a break.

There's been a ton of questions about a non-existent draft. Questions of the "what's in it for me" variety about enlisting. Questions about negotiating a deal concerning enlistment like the military was some sort of yard sale. Questions about finding a "safe" unit that doesn't deploy. These are mainly asked by the generation we gave birth to. I think we failed in passing down vital knowledge to them.

Is there anything that can be done? Can the person who did it, if you know who it is, get in trouble? I know that most places these days have caller id but what if the person uses a spoofcard and uses your number and gives your address? Is there anyway to trace it to them? This happened to one of my friends and she thinks she knows who it is, but she has no way to prove it.

I am not a supporter or a hater of this Venezuelan leader. I just am curious why we do not try to get along with them since stability in the Hemisphere is so important. I do not pretend to know enough about this issue to make blind comments but it looks like we automatically fear them just because they are "Leftist". What facts am I missing?

Nobody ever talks about this but I think we can see that this may be where we are headed. We all see it happening yet we remain divided and want to blame the other guy. When will we wake-up and see this is what they want. Since the big money is controlling both sides of the aisle is there any way to stop it other than serious boycotts or a revolution? Is there a way to do it peacefully?

Come one $2500 tax incentive for individuals and $5000 for families is a drop in the bucket if you consider the cost of healthcare insurance in this country. $2500 a year is a little more than $100 a month. What an insult when you consider that healthcare insurance for an individual would cost over $600 if bought privately. For a family of 2 it is more than $1100 a month. That $5000 a year is just over $200 amonth. Again nothing but chump change being thrown at the American people to buy healthcare insurance that most people cannot afford to buy in the first place. Geeesuz, we are forking over billions if not trillions of dollars for this war and for the profits of the oil industry, Halliburton, the military industrial corporate complex, and Blackwater. And, we the people get nothing but chump change thrown back at us for our families and our communities. And, it's our money they are spending for this needless war.

They killed Armenians and we killed American Indians. Once we pass a resoultion admitting guilt for the wholesale slaughter of the American Indians, then maybe Turkey will respect the U.S. a little more....but I doubt it. Hell, I don't respect the U.S. We are two faced. Anyway, we know it happened, Turkey knows it happened, what difference does it make if it is called genocide or not? They should not have done it, they know it, but what are they supposed to do about it? Cry and hide in shame? Send billions in reparations to poor Armenians everywhere? Great! Then so can we. Billions to the Indians and 100's of Billions to the Black Americans. The United States has a really stupid government in place. They must be really bored. Pick a fight with your one remaining ally. It is no wonder we are laughed at around the world for being ridiculously arrogant and stupid.

Isn't it unfair for us to want them to leave since all of california nevada arizona utah newmexico and a good chunk of texas was land of mexico's UNTIL us AMericans came and STOLE IT FROM MEXICO.... STOLE!? Life over there isn't that great, why else would they want to come over here where they have a CHANCE to live freely and with food in thier bellies.

COULD ANY OF YOU honestly say after looking into the eyes of your hungry children (with no hope for a better life in mexico) that you wouldn't do whatever in the world it took, to give them a life where they don't go to bed starving and they don't wake up each morning with out a future?... I would just like any DECENT parent hopefully would. I know we have a problem with taxes, jobs and money and all of that...but there has to be another way... they are not all bad criminals who smuggle drugs in... there are genuinely great people who want a better life... just like any one else....

I just don't understand the purpose of the US passing a bill declaring the Armenian killings genocide. I thought bills were passed to put laws into effect - not state opinion. Now they are discussing how this will strain relations with the US and Turkey (Turkey is a huge ally in the Iraq war)? Isn't this simply something that historians that write text books should argue about - not our government? Again, seems like this issue is someone's opinion. Please explain why!!

during use. Rather than take it to have it fixed, we are wanting to throw it out and buy a new one. My question is this. If we put it out by the road and someone picks it up and takes it home and uses it and it catches on fire and does property damage or injures someone, would we somehow be liable for it? Once it is "trashed", is it a take at your own risk type thing or how does this work.
