Which letter do you mean? Can you tell us what it said? Do you have a link?
If it is someone offering you a job you never applied for, or offering you a bunch of money if only they can use your bank account number, then YES, it's a hoax.

Here's a better question...How can we answer a question that vague...especially since you didn't tell us what the letter said. Honestly, people like you should have your Yahoo ID's revoked.

yes it is I got one and tried to investigate the names that are in the letter and found discrepancies in the name and dates. Don't answer it once they have your information you can't get rid of them.
