Is there anything that can be done? Can the person who did it, if you know who it is, get in trouble? I know that most places these days have caller id but what if the person uses a spoofcard and uses your number and gives your address? Is there anyway to trace it to them? This happened to one of my friends and she thinks she knows who it is, but she has no way to prove it.

Let the pizza place know that it was a fraudulent order so they can file a defrauding an innkeeper charge. It also helps keep the drivers safer because sometimes crooks will place phony orders to lure a driver into a trap.

It's up to the pizza place if they want to do something about it or not since they are the ones that have lost money. I doubt they would do anything if it's the first time, they are too busy and one pizza isn't much of a loss for them.

As far as proving it, good luck. If you want to get the police involved they are only going to talk to the pizza place, unless you are talking identity theft which it doesn't sound like here.

Actually , now a days many pizza places will not take orders from a phone in which the caller ID is blocked ,makes it very hard not to get caught...

She can always refuse the order, and tell them that she has not ordered it. Might make it a little harder to get a pizza delivered next time, unless they can call her back after she orders and makes sure that she is the one who ordered.

I would tell the pizza boy "Sorry, didn't order it". Then I would probably give him a couple bucks, just because he had to make the trip.

Nothing else you can do.
