I was with him at the time and he knew I had his credit card and was using it. I used it for $1400 worth of charges and cash advances. We got into a big fight and broke up, and the day after he filed criminal charges against me. I already have an ACD and don't know what is going to happen. He knew I had the card and is just trying to get back at me for breaking up with him and being with someone else. What am I looking at, and do I have a case at all.

Ok.. here is the deal.. I am removing my middle name on the portion where it says "mothers maiden name" from my sons birth certficate because they have it wrong and they wont replace it with the right one. My son's social security records have the right middle name on his records where they ask for mothers maiden name.

His birth certificate will read:

Mothers Maiden Name: Daisy Garden

On his social security records, they have my right middle name on mothers information or maiden name

"Daisy Flower Garden."

Will he have a problem down the line? I called social security and they said it would be ok since they have the correct information for his mothers information.

I just need some reassurance. I know it may seem so silly.... :(

I am a wife and mother of two (ages 4 and 1). The military will provide LOTS of benefits for our family in general, but my husband can not join because he has bad asthma. My father went to the Air Force Academy and is retired military after 30+ years. I have always had a deep respect/love for the military and wanted to go, but am concerned about time away from my children and husband. As far as qualifications I have already taken my ASVAB and got a 96 so I am eligible for whatever jobs a female can do. Please let me know your opinions, or pro's and con's that you have experienced. Thanks!!!!! (Branch choices are Army or Air Force, dont know which- but I dont like water so Navy and Marines are definitely out)

I handle responsible gaming for a large casino. I have a situation with a mentally challenged woman who frequents my casino with her mentally challenged bf almost everyday. My dilemma is this, they both come on one the free shuttle and in turn recieve $5 to gamble with. That's all the money they have. After spending that money they wonder the casino bothering other guests. When we confront her she become irrate. We also found that she is diabetic and have had to treat her several times. We have tried to get her legal guardian, which is her father to sign exclusion paperwork to keep her from riding the bus to the casino, but he refuses. I feel he's using us as a way to "baby-sit" her while he's at work. I'm trying to convince my casino to do a forced exclusion, but they say there is no legal reason to do this. Is there anyway I can get someone to help this girl? Everyone here seems to think that it's "not their problem".

Please- no angry anti-socialists comments... I'm very interested in seeing what "good" things people have to say about socialism.

If you're a socialist, or kind of like one.... can you share with me WHY you are all for a socialistic society? Do you know someone in the lower class or on welfare, and have something to say about why socialism would be good for them....AND everybody else? (the rich and the poor)? Id like to hear your opinions... thanks

I am suggesting that we let our voices be heard and start a grass root campaign calling for all Americans to vote all the Washington incumbents out of office in 2008. The republicans are crooks and the democrats have not listened nor are they likely too....so....let's try some new fresh blood in Washington. What do you say?

Millions of Iranians attended nationwide rallies Friday in support of the Palestinians, while the country's hard-line President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad said Israel's continued existence was an "insult to human dignity."

Iranian protesters burn an effigy representing Israel and US during an anti-Israel rally on "Al-Quds Day" (Jerusalem Day), in Teheran.

Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad speaks during Friday prayers in Teheran.

"The creation, continued existence and unlimited (Western) support for this regime is an insult to human dignity," Ahmadinejad said. "The occupation of Palestine is not limited to one land. The Zionist issue is now a global issue."

I am in medical malpractice settlement negotiations with a dentist. Her insurance company was handling the negotiations, then the dentist license expired and the insurance company dropped the dentist. The dentist obtained a new policy from a new insurance company. Now the original insurance company has dropped out of negotiations. Is it possible that the original insurance company wants me to file suit against the dentist, and then the new insurance company will have to defend the dentist? Or, because the first insurance company received the initial settlement letter with notice of intent to sue, they will have to carry on and defend the dentist even though they no longer have the dentist as a client. Please clarify the typical procedure in this type of situation. Thanks a million! N.

I was told that this event took place in late April 1941 when a German regiment was attempting to land on the coast of an island in the Aegean Sea (Greece). The coast was protected by a single machine gunner who managed to hold them at bay for 3 hours. The Germans suffered heavy losses in their landing crafts and had to call in their airforce for cover. They eventually took the island but never found the lone machine gunner. When he run out of ammunition he hid in a village and eventually escaped to neutral Turkey.
This surely has to be the most incredible battle fought during WWII since a single soldier fought off an entire regiment (approximately 800 men).
What was the island? The nationality (British or Greek?) and name of this soldier? Is this event recorded in a book?
