! i think she would. she's a good straight talker. and i like the fact that she doesn't seem to have an ego. the other nice thing is that she never gets thrown because shes one of the few that really doesn't need a script. sounds stupid BUT! she never seems to have a hidden agenda either. yea!! she'd get my vote providing her politics were what i believed in. and if they werent then i would envy the people in the party she lead

I think Anne Widdecombe would make an ideal Prime Minister.
She is an upstanding woman of good morals. I am sure she wouldn't stand for all this dilution of Britishness through immigration.
YES - She would be a great choice as PM.

The fair Anne Widdecombe has my vote as well.
I think she is a knowledgeable lady who stands up for what she believes in.
But, because she is probably the only straight speaking honest politician in Westminster she is sidelined by those lying bastard blokes.
She could well be another woman PM this country deserves her to be at the head of Parliament.

in theory she would make a great prime minister, but i have seen her on the programme where she is out and about in communities looking at specific issues and i don't think she grasps the reality of what life is really like for some people. prostitutes for eg, its all well and good to tell them to come off the streets but its a way of life for some girls and they need real support and incentives. we can all sit and say, why don't people do this and do that, but for the individual (not all individuals, and I'm not condoning anything btw), there is no better alternative. i do like Anne Widdecome though. at least she is out there looking at the problems within society, all be it, blinkered.

It would be very interesting to see how she tackled running the country.
She has a strong personality, which is essential for any PM. I like the way that she speaks her mind, regardless of what others think. I am also impressed by her willingness to have a go at things, she seems very much a 'do-er' not a 'thinker'.

If she stands by what she is saying at the moment (and being paid to say it) then it could not be a bad thing. Better than hugging a hoody for example. But, if she were pm, she would not be allowed to do what she is saying she would like to do.

I can't see it. She talks like she has a plum stuffed in her mouth - like many middle class women - and in a vain attempt to turn back the years went blonde a few years ago.
I don't like the poicies she stands for, either. Middle England might like her but chances are the rest of us would be turned off.

and mine...
she'd be like an approachable Maggie Thatcher (didn't like her) hard and firm but with a sense of humour.
If she went up for the position id actually be bothered to vote...it would be the 1st time in my 38 years.

No
Because she is a brainless clod, old, ugly, wthout a care in the world other than about how she can enrich herself. I say this as a criticism of most politicians. There are one or two for whom I have a little respect in all parties. Mad Annie is not one of them.

She'd so get my vote. Wonderful down to earth, no nonsense woman, just what this country needs.
