That Israel is a thriving, successful country in a region of loons. Why would we want to allow radical haters to wipe out a free and successful country and ally?
And are you intimating that Dems want Israel wiped out?

Mutual interests. The Israelis just bombed a nuclear site in Syria. Believe it or not, that helps us as well as Israel! It also showed that our Intelligence gathering is not too good at finding out about these things, the President is trying to find out why we didn't know about it sooner & why the Israelis knew about it & we didn't have a clue until they told us! Also, why were the N. Korean's giving them aid in acquiring nuclear weapons? N. Korea was supposed to be disarming it's nuclear weapons, no hint that they were going to arm another country that hates us, while we give them oil & food for their starving people!

Don't group republicans with the far right. There's no relationship there. Israel is our foothold in the middle east, our base camp, if you will.

The idea that they can get all the Jews in Israel, so Jesus can come and the religious right can get in a holy battle where they kill all the Muslims and Jews

it's a good deal for America to have an ally positioned right smack in the middle of the middle east. so i say relationship is driven by pure political reasons, and militarily strategic too!
