Millions of Iranians attended nationwide rallies Friday in support of the Palestinians, while the country's hard-line President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad said Israel's continued existence was an "insult to human dignity."
Iranian protesters burn an effigy representing Israel and US during an anti-Israel rally on "Al-Quds Day" (Jerusalem Day), in Teheran.
Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad speaks during Friday prayers in Teheran.
"The creation, continued existence and unlimited (Western) support for this regime is an insult to human dignity," Ahmadinejad said. "The occupation of Palestine is not limited to one land. The Zionist issue is now a global issue."

Ahmadinejad's remarks came as millions of Iranians held rallies across Iran to protest Israel's continued control of Jerusalem.
The demonstrations for "Al-Quds Day" - Al-Quds is the Arabic name for Jerusalem - also spilled over into anti-American protests because of US support for Israel.
In the capital Teheran, hundreds of thousands of people poured into the streets as they chanted "Death to America" and "Death to Israel." Some protesters also burned American and Israeli flags.
State television reported similar large rallies in all other provincial capitals and smaller towns across Iran.

Democracy has never existed in the United States. A de facto aristocracy has dominated our constitutional republic dating back to the Continental Congress. Capitalism is a brutal, pitiless economic system that encourages and rewards greed, selfishness, exploitation, and annihilation of the competition.
Obsessed with materialism, conspicuous consumption, convenience, physical appearance, and winning, many Americans gorge themselves on the abundant fruits of Capitalism, oblivious to the fact that billions of human beings live in abject poverty and misery to make their feast possible.
America is a nation of the wealthy, by the wealthy and for the wealthy. Its ruling elite class is buttressed by the poor and working people who have been rendered politically impotent by the allure of conspicuous consumption (which further enriches the elite), the illusion of democracy, and the extremely remote possibility that one of them could be the next Bill Gates.
Wearing its cloak of benevolence, America is an abstract embodiment of the proverbial wolf in sheep’s clothing. Governed by avaricious profiteers produced and enabled by a ruthless system that brings out the worst in humanity, the United States is a predacious nation innocently posing as a bastion of human rights and democracy.

Saudi Arabia doesn't recognize Israel's right to exist. Bush didn't have a problem walking thru a flower garden holding hands with their former leader.

I'm a Democrat and I think it would be stupid for him to go to Iran. Iran is very different and nothing like America. It would be dangerous for him to go there.

Your question should have been for BOTH as you call them, "libs" AND conservatives. Bush is afraid to engage in dialogue with Iran. Face it. If he was the man he wants us to believe he is, the headlines you cite would not matter.
Be a man Bush.
Not a wuss
again, be a man~!

I don't care why he's not going--I'm just glad he's not. With that loose cannon, stuttering, fatal mouth of his he would probably get us all killed.
No, keep Bush out of there.

how is one related to another?
if someone believes in preaching the good word of democracy, surely they believe in telling those who need it the most.
