Now Republicans are patriots because the Pres. is a Republican. Democrats are being portrayed as traitors if they disagree with the President.

In '09 when we have a Democrat President and the Republicans disagree with the Pres. they will be unpatriotic and anti-American and the Democrats will be the true patriots......

Is this scenario working for you?

"Wait wait don't tell me" is supposed to be funny?

"All things considered" simply doesn't consider everything do they? Certainly not Conservative viewpoints.

Listening to NPR only makes you THINK you're smart and "informed."

Considering our dollar is at a weak point you would think tourists would want to flock to the USA to spend their Pounds, Euros and now Canadian dollars to stay at many of our fine resorts and cities. To the contrary though tourism in the USA has hit a snag since 9/11 and is continuing to get worse. Has our reputation been the reason for this?

My child has been long emancipated. DES did nothing to collect CS. My ex-wife claims she never collected any welfare or filed any complaint. Several years ago DES lied and told a judge that she had collected welfare. I believe my exwife is telling the truth. The court ordered a wage assignment on my lowly SS Benefits. There is someting in the law about "reduced to written judgement". I believe that means that I still owe the amount but DES cannot apply a wage assignment or garnishment. My arguement includes that my son is just fine and never missed a meal. The child support was supposed to support a child "then" this is "now". My son does not need the money because he is emancipated. I do need the money. I am partially handicapped and it is very difficult for me to get around to work. What doe the expression mean and what can I do?

I have been married for over 4 years. We have never consummated the marriage. My wife tightens up so bad that penetration is impossible. She has promised to seek counseling and to seek medical help, but she never goes to more than 1 session. I feel that she has continued to keep me under false pretenses, believing that this situation would not be a permanent one. I no longer believe that we will ever make things work in the bedroom. Can we seek an annulment? We got married in TX, but currently live in CO, can we file for an annulment here, or do we have to do that in TX?

- Aside from the unjustified taser incidents there seems to be something else brewing
-"Peaceful onlookers were arrested by police for reading the Constitution while a pro-war group was allowed full freedom of speech in Washington DC.Police are required to swear an oath to uphold and defend the Constitution but this didn't stop them from kidnapping members of the Code Pink group, who gathered on a nearby sidewalk to calmly express their disagreement with a Neo-Con pro-war event taking place nearby by reading the bill of rights. Five members of Code Pink were arrested, one for reading the Constitution, as police refused to say what the charges were and refused to answer any questions while demonstrators were hauled into paddy wagons.
-In Britain,a woman was questioned by police and entered into the anti-terror database for reading a mainstream newspaper that had an anti-war headline. In 05, a woman was arrested & convicted for reading out names of British soldiers killed in Iraq"

Now would it be easier to advance to an officer if you:

A.) Enlist in the military with a couple classes of RotC alongside 90 college credits already in your pocket then ask to be recommended.
B.) Take RoTC during college then grad. with a bacholar's

My recruiter mentioned that it would "prob." be easier for someone to enlist and then be promoted to Officer since they would have exp. already. Yet I don't entirely believe it. Does the first option have a high percentage?

See, I'm doing this project for school, and it requires me to pick a state, develop a small business in it, and find various information about it. I'm decided to do Arkansas for no particular reason, no offense to people from Arkansas, and I need to find the laws related to making a small business. If any of you guys could give me a website, or just plain tell me, I'd appreciate it alot.

Beginning in 1945, various government officials of the losing nations were prosecuted at Nuremberg [etc.] for "crimes against humanity".

Who and how are "crimes against humanity" determined?

What if some society or group does not agree that a particular action is a "crime against humanity"? Should its members and/or leaders be held responsible for such "crimes" anyway?

Comment: This is inextricably intertwined with the question of when it is moral and ethical for an outside power/people/nation to interfere in the affairs of another nation/power/people.

Another, more distantly related question might reasonably be whether the concept of evolution applies to collectives of intelligent beings such as nations, peoples, and societies. {I would argue that if you strictly apply the concepts of evolution to such collectives, then it is simply evolution functioning as it should when one such collective interferes in the affairs of another.}

Examples: Iraq and Darfur
