Defamation of Character, False Swearing, Abuse of Process, Using a public office to further a illegal hidden agenda, surpression of evidence..

He or they shouldn't just be sued he or they should be imprisoned

As much as I hate what Mr. Nifong did, I would not sue.
I would just be grateful that the lacrosse players are free from
all those lying criminal charges. Let them get on with their lives.
Mr. Nifong is going to pay "in spades" for what he did. He is going through hell right now with the loss of his job and litigation concerning his career.

Just because it's an AP story doesn't mean that Fox can't, and won't, spin it.

As for Nifong, I don't know what laws are in place to protect public officials in the exercise of their jobs. Some states have such protections.
