Fact is, the conservatives that are around right now are straight up crooks! The democratic party could be the same way, and in fact, it probably is. Both the Republican and Democratic party ideals would both work in theory, and are both right. However, the conservatives in office now are manipulating the masses that support them who do not realize how much they are being scammed. Yes, I agree that those who have not worked hard do not deserve handouts, however, when the government gives handouts to their buddies and justifies it because they are part of a so-called corporation, that is straight-up hypocrisy! When 190 billion dollars is approved for a meandering war and 7 billion for child healthcare is rejected, you have to realize everything is not kosher! These people could be Democrats and it wouldn't change a thing! They could still justify it, just in a different way!

Isn't it time people realized smoke was being blown up their *** by the politicians in this country?

...send over the renewal on its' own so the children don't have to suffer?
-
Reid is a deceptive little man. President Bush isn't refusing to "renew" the program. He is refusing to expand it. The solution is simple. Put the renewal in one bill and let the President sign it so the children won't be held hostage. Then put the expansion in a second bill and see if it is still "bi-partisan". If it is and the President veto's the expansion, then they can see if they have the override votes. For the congress not to pass the part that the President will sign and to hold the children hostage to blatant political aims is unconscionable. Ried should be ashamed of himself. Why is he punishing the children so he can fail in an attempt to score politically? Isn't it a waste?

So many people claim that if Mitt Romney was president then the mormon leaders would have this control over him. Noone ever makes that claim agains the highest ranking US senator, Harry Reid, who is a self proclaimed practicing mormon.
Isnt it a bit insincere to voice concerns over Romneys faith when noone ever voices it over Reids?

Is it not ethical that a country give equal rights to all its citizens irrespective of minority or majority factor so that all live on equal status? The deprived class may be given time bound privileges to bring them up to the level of all so that a socialistic society emerge in a country. Distinguishing citizens by religions? Is it not unjust and therefore nasty?

If someone is locked away for a crime they committed (which is a fact), but they get an appeal, can their sentence be reduced? In this case there were factors about the case (court-appointed attorney, took the first plea bargain he got) that make me wonder, since he didn't get a 'good' lawyer...

He is in jail for attempted murder of a police officer because he supposedly rammed a police car with his truck which was stolen. He says he wasnt trying to kill the officer he was trying to get away and didnt clear the back of the vehicle. His charges state 2 other officers as witnesses but in the narrative written by the police officer he supposedly attempted to kill it states that those two officers didnt join the story till after they would have seen the crime. (timeline doesnt add up...he being followed by cop, hits his brakes, cop slides past him, he tries to flee, hits cop car, cop takes off in front of him radios for help, gets off at next exit with my brother "chasing him", my brother stays on the highway, cop gets back on the highway and is joined by the other officers, my brother pulls over and surrenders...) In the charges it states that there are 2 witnesses to the ramming of the police vehicle and the same two witnesses for the attempted murder charge. How does that add up?

they talk about the party of Lincoln... freed the slaves...

the party that gave African Americans the right to vote...

which are both correct...

these were not "conservative" actions... they were at the time... borderline radically liberal... non-traditional... some thought it would destroy the economy, which current conservatives wouldn't stand for...

and at the time... the South was dominated by clearly conservative Democrats that wanted to keep the traditions of the south, no matter how horrible they were?

in fact, the few who were frustrated with WWII were Republicans and some didn't want to be in the war... quite liberal again...

and they were the party of MLK Jr.... who was quite liberal, to the point where the CIA investigated him...

but then... Strom Thurmond switched parties and the conservative south shifted... and NIxon came around (who did stop Vietnam, by the way)... but ushered in a different kind of Repbulcian.

are Republicans proud of liberal heritage?

"Never has it been clearer how detached President Bush is from the priorities of the American people," Reid said in a statement. "By vetoing a bipartisan bill to renew the successful Children's Health Insurance Program, President Bush is denying health care to millions of low-income kids in America. "

have the schools (which you control), in every class, add all the test scores of each student together, divide by the number of students, and hand out the resulting grade to each student? Better yet, average across the entire school.

Instead of the hard workers' getting A's (the greedy, capitalist pigs...we spit on you!) and the lazy bums' (poverty is a virtue) getting F's, perhaps you'll be happy by giving them all C's or C-minus, depending on the average.

There are no Nazis, no Mongols, no Huns, and there is no Napoleon. What is the point of keeping our mega-expensive army? Oh, that's right, bully third-world nations, veto health care plans for children and anything that would benefit the domestic home front.

What does the country that is number 2 on the list spend? Last I read, it was China with 10 billion, compared to our 700 billion estimated, after Iraq and A-stan are factored in.

And we think the terrorists are the bad guys? Har har har! The more and more I look at US soldiers, the more they look like Storm troopers. Oh, the irony!

*I am not anti-military, but this is not a video game, this is not something to be played with! This is reality, and the United States does not need this much military force! You guys can spout all the rhetoric you want, but it shouldn't cost trillions to fight guys who have a budget in the six to seven figures at most!

when it was such leaders like the present ones that have fought so hard to preserve the freedoms that you all continue to enjoy, everyday?

If you don't like what our government is doing, then do what being an American means, VOTE them out of office, why don't you just do this and not complain so much?

Limbaugh was referring to Americans who falsely claim to have served in the military – specifically Jesse Macbeth, who said in a widely seen video that he had served in Iraq and Afghanistan and claimed that he and other U.S. soldiers had killed innocent civilians there.

In fact, Macbeth was discharged from the Army after several weeks of basic training, and never served in Iraq or Afghanistan.

He said i would go to A school then after that i could get to choose where ever i want to go. He said he'll make sure that ill be drilling close to my home in chino, ca. he said maybe in moreno valley or san diego but most likely san diego. he said that i will not gonna be sent with the marines. he even told me that if i dont like the active reserve, i could just request a chit to go back in IRR. im currently going to college and i want to become a nurse so maybe joining the reserves would boost my nurse career in the future but also i dont want to be sent to iraq, i did my share already. would joinging the reserves a good idea or should i just stay IRR till 09?
