Fact is, the conservatives that are around right now are straight up crooks! The democratic party could be the same way, and in fact, it probably is. Both the Republican and Democratic party ideals would both work in theory, and are both right. However, the conservatives in office now are manipulating the masses that support them who do not realize how much they are being scammed. Yes, I agree that those who have not worked hard do not deserve handouts, however, when the government gives handouts to their buddies and justifies it because they are part of a so-called corporation, that is straight-up hypocrisy! When 190 billion dollars is approved for a meandering war and 7 billion for child healthcare is rejected, you have to realize everything is not kosher! These people could be Democrats and it wouldn't change a thing! They could still justify it, just in a different way!

Isn't it time people realized smoke was being blown up their *** by the politicians in this country?

Yes, it is! Today's Democratic party is far removed from classical liberalism, and the Republican party's current incarnation of conservatism is much more akin to authoritarianism; and both are simply two sides of the same devalued coin. Both parties are merely serving to further a grand scale exercise in Hegelian dialetics, with the end result destroying all that this country was built on.

Stand up and work for real change, campaign and vote for Ron Paul for President, "the exception to the gang of 535." "Dr. No" as he is also known, is the only congressman to consistently stand for constitutional principles, to vote against government handouts and tax increases. He voted against invading Iraq, against the Patriot Act, against increases in executive branch power and against constraints on our freedoms. Immigration, The Economy, The War, as you go down the list, his common sense approach and singly focused view of what is best for America within the framework of what the Constitution says, makes him stand out from the rest of the group of professional liars, thieves, and grade B actors like a bonfire on a dark night! Ron Paul truly represents Hope for America.

As the saying goes, "insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results." If you support and vote for any of the "mainstream" candidates from either party, nothing is going to change except for the worse no matter who is elected. For goodness sake, if for whatever reason you can't get on board with Ron Paul then at least support Mike Gravel or Dennis Kucinich or a third party candidate who actually stands for something other than more of the same. The same goes for every level of government right down to city council and precinct committee officers.

Good question! I mean its almost like that republicans and democrats hate each other! I am conservative for the most part. But I have alot of liberal friends! Sure we disagree politically, but we also understand that to argue, slander or hate one another is truly pointless and serves no purpose whatsoever. I think its nice to be tolerant of different opinions! I don't know why people can't keep an open mind and realize there is bad and good in everyone! There is what is known as VOTING! If you disagree with the way things are that is the only way you will ever make a difference! An attempt to destroy one's life or reputation is cowardly in my opinion. Regardless of what party it is.

You are very right when you say there's a scam. People don't want to admit they've been taken for fools. It's not just elections, the national attitude has been shaped to a frightening degree by these professional political manipulators.

Americans apparently excel at this at this craft. Here's another example where they've manipulated public opinion.

It seems that American political "strategists" reinvented Yanukovich. He's the Soviet style autocrat who likely poisoned his rival with dioxin, and who definitely tried to steal last the election. Now, with a little help from American election experts, he's a popular vote-getter.

Well the two major parties could certainly be doing nothing more than playing "good cop, bad cop" with the nation, for all you know.

That has nothing to do with issues of left and right however. It just means the ruling parties might not honestly personify such positions.

We're not talking theory. Before 1981, voodoo economics was a theory. Afterward, it was a disaster from which America has never recovered. So don't preach to me that both are right. Left is sane, and right is a scam.

Very few Democrats are on the left any more, which is probably why you have this distorted view of left and right.
