I seem to remember images of Dr. Heidi Cullen and other "meteorologists" on my TV barking the same propoganda about how this was sure to be the worst, most destructive, deadliest hurricane season ever because global warming has permanantly altered the weathr patterns.

Don't you remember these people standing on the beach reporting as if they were just waiting for the hurricanes to make landfall?

And while we are on this note, the other night I saw a panel of "scientists" on TV discussing global warming. Two were saying that in 10 years, they expected the ocean level to rise 50 feet because of the melting ice caps!
Now that would mean that the ocean would have to be rising 1.2 inches per week. DON'T YOU THINK SOMEONE WOULD HAVE NOTICED THAT????

Anyone who lives by the beach, are you seeing this?

If an experienced soldier is paid $60K/yr, and the private security firms pay $400K/yr, doesn't common sense tell us that an experienced soldier is serving his enlistment and then going to work for the security firms? Doesn't common sense also tell us that privatizing traditional military roles is very expensive?

I think the four horsemen of the conservatives (Rush, Ann, Sean, Bill) all live in and like to keep the conservative mindset in an idyllic fantasy land, much like in the movie The Village.

The 'liberals' are the big monsters that will eat you if you try to leave this fantasy land!!!! Keep scaring people about these 'liberals' which roams the scary woods known as
'Non-Extreme Conservative Ideas'. Wow, those woods are SCARY!!!

(don't worry, liberals aren't really monsters, they're just normal people in red capes and funny spiked hats).

What is the problem here? Is it drug laws, for example, which sentence non-violent offenders to long prison terms? Or Is it something else? Your thoughts?
