I think the four horsemen of the conservatives (Rush, Ann, Sean, Bill) all live in and like to keep the conservative mindset in an idyllic fantasy land, much like in the movie The Village.

The 'liberals' are the big monsters that will eat you if you try to leave this fantasy land!!!! Keep scaring people about these 'liberals' which roams the scary woods known as
'Non-Extreme Conservative Ideas'. Wow, those woods are SCARY!!!

(don't worry, liberals aren't really monsters, they're just normal people in red capes and funny spiked hats).

Actually it is more like Leave it to Beaver. You know, the world I grew up in that liberals love to poke fun at. A world where kids were safe playing in parks, where schools had no violence or metal detectors. A world where children were not exposed to sexual images or language. Where kids never heard of illegal narcotics, never knew anyone who was murdered and all movies were for general audiences.

A world where families consisted of fathers and mothers who stayed married and took pride in rasing their kids. When I was a kid, if I needed my Mom she was always, always there. There was no need for day care. The whole family always ate dinner together every night and went to church every Sunday.

It all seems so far away now. Young people today have no idea who wonderful it was to be a kid back then. When I was five years old, my Mother could send me to the store that was on the same block as my house. Can you imagine? I had a note wrapped around the money. I would go to the grocery story and hand "Moe" the shop keeper the note. He would gather up the order, put the change in the bag and I would go home. No one ever bothered me.

Heath care, was not burdened by government regulations and mandates. The result? If one of us was ill or needed attention we would go to the doctor and pay a fair and reasonable price for the visit. If we were too ill to go to the office, the doctor made house calls.

If you needed an ambulance, a big Cadillac Ambulance (like in Ghostbusters) would come racing to your home and there would actually be a doctor in it!

Back then, kids would rather play outside than stay home. We would spend the entire Summer vacation playing outside. Kids were in excellent physical condition from running and playing baseball, football, sleding in the snow, jumping into piles of leaves there was something to do in every season.

We ate candy, drank soda (we needed all that energy) and had not a care in the world. That is what the conservative mindset wants for everyone. It does seem like an idyllic fantasy land, doesn't it? 'Twas not so long ago, really.
