Next time he asks you for money, take out $100 in 10, $10 bills. Automatically take four of the $10 bills and explain that this is for Fed. income tax and social security. Remove another $10 and explain that this represents the increase in taxes which will pay for National Healthcare, and expanded welfare. Now, you are going to have to remove another $10 bill and explain to him that this is to cover the cost of inflation which will ultimately result from the Global Warming scare, Congress' refusal to allow the U.S. to become oil independent, and globalization policies similar to those of Jimmy Carter which every democratic candidate has promised should they be elected.
These percentages are very real, and when he finds out that out of his $100, he is left with only $40, and realizes how liberals are striving to make this will equate to his paycheck, he might change his tune.

It depends, do you love him or do you just want him to disagree with you. Now I know most the Conservatives would say drop him like a hot potato (what does that say about the Conservatives on this board?) I just keep following the words of Christ and treat people as I would like to be treated. Remember Jesus never hit anyone, even his betrayer and he gave the keys of heaven to the person that denied him.
If you love someone you love them unconditioanlly.
Take my family. My mother is a liberal but yet she still loves her Conservative, pot smoking, voted for Bush twice son (not me, my brother)
She is a Roman Catholic and yet she still loves my sister whom was pregnant outside of marriage at the age of 17.
I just depends on whether you love your son. If you love him you love him unconditionally.

Hello!
Chain him to the bed until he changes his mind and sees reality!!
Seriously not much you can do at this age ,apart from telling him to search out the facts and come to his own conclusion not being cohersed by others ,when he does if he still leans this way,so be it.
Take care!

I would disown him. The ACLU and the liberals are what ruined the United States. There is one thing you can try..Holy Water & Pictures of Ronald Reagan.

You don't have to agree with your son all the time. Just love him, and agree/disagree, as you see fit.

You should congratulate him he no longer wants to be a hateful, uniformed, uneducated, paranoid repub. He's seen both sides and has decided on truth and justice. God bless him.

Your son loves freedom enough to get out there and fight for it. Why would you want to disown him?
