“In Iraq, our troops are taking the fight to the extremists and radicals and murderers all throughout the country. Our troops have killed or captured an average of more than 1,500 al Qaeda terrorists and other extremists every month since January of this year."

I just left prison. Prison is a idle breeding ground for literal trouble where assaults are a constant reality. I know. I took that walk and I talked that talk in there. Southern California prisons are operated by two entities, the prisoners and the California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation Peace Officer's Association (Union), and, in case you wonder why CA. Prisons continue to grow in violence is because there is no dignity there, and the guards are quick to be ruthless to maintain control should the security make an attempt to slip away from them. So, in answer to my own question, yes, I believe a prisoner should be allowed to work because there is dignity and positive activity there including modification and filtering of bad attitudes and behavior. If a man in prison is allowed to work he not only gets back a considerable amount of dignity, but he also begins to feel human again, because the Ca. Prison system is designed of idle time of cages and cold cells.

The invasion of Iraq was a stupid mistake as all but the most gullible Bush suckies will agree, but now were over there between a rock and a hard place with Iran and Syria making trouble with their support of rebels. Maybe the best support we can give out troops is to bring them home, or increase our troop strength until the insurgents crawl back into their holes. Would they stay there?

As I recall, there were massive protests in Baghdad AGAINST Bush's "liberation".

But now, in Burma, thousands of monks and ordinary citizens are be killed simply for having the courage to stand up for freedom.

And where is America?

A lot of people, including Ron Paul for instance, like to say we caused 9/11 by "meddling" in the middle east. What did we do wrong there? Was it wrong to encourage freedom? Was it wrong to help them build medical schools and a public education system? Was it wrong to assist them with their public water and sewage systems? We're we wrong in opposing extremist that want life as it was in the 700 AD period of history? Are we wrong to support people who oppose stoning women to death because they went outside with out a man or a burkha? What extactly was it that we did wrong that justified their attack on the United States?

Okkkk~ First off, the main issue I'm having is can someone on probation be issued a passport, since their probation will be over in less than 4 months? I keep seeing conflicting asnwers pertaining to felon's receiving passports. OH, and this person lives in Canada, not the USA..

which leads me to the next question: This person was born in the U.S. but was raised in Canada. He is a Canadian citizen, but has dual citizenship as an American. Does that have any affect on him crossing the border?

For those of you who brush off America's new policy of torturing prisoners … I ask, what if those pictures of Abu Ghraib were American prisoners and Iraqi guards? What if the Iranians were setting up secret prisons full of Americans? What if North Korea set up a prison like Guantanamo full of Americans? How would you feel about that?

Do you realize that by justifying American torture, you justify Americans being tortured?

Ex tenant left property owing £1500 in rent and interest. I took them to small claims and won. Judge said that from date of application no more interest but £50/month should be paid to be in my account by end of each month. After first payment it has been constantly late - from arriving nearly two months late (sent bailiffs in ) to usually arriving the first or second of the following month. Each time he pays before bailiffs can work. What else can I do as I am being charged by bank £25 x 2 on my outgoings on 1st of each month and have had to borrow at 28% to cover what he owes. Can i send in bailiffs for more than the 1 x £50 payment and can I get him to pay some of my bank charges?

She was drinking before she came over and she had one beer at my house. Then after tubing she thought she would take a shower. She didn't tell me or ask. She just went in and showered. She fell and broke the tile soap dish and cut her back. She said it was my tile shower floor she slipped on and now she is going to sue me for all her medical bills. I have had this home for 12 years and one has ever fallen. Can she, even if she was drunk?

How do I then become an American citizen myself?
Would I need a GreenCard? .. what about College? would I be paying reasonable prices like every other citizen.. or would I still be paying high prices, despite being married to an American.

Made a topic a week or so ago about a different subject and I do plan on joining the military, either the Air Force or Navy. More than likely only for 4 years but if I enjoy I may stay longer. My question is, is it possible to become an Officer while already enlisted after a certain number of years? Lets say I join the Air Force as an E1 airman, 8 or 10 years later would I be able to apply for the officer program from within? I currently have no degree (20 units currently, bad gpa) but I plan on working towards it slowly while in the military. If I go AF I will probably go Security Forces, security seems to be the only job that interests me in any military branch. I do plan on becoming a cop when I get out if I only serve 4 years. Technical jobs like mechanic I do not have much interest in. I was looking into Pararescue as well, but I have a lot of physical work that needs to be done to be qualified for it. Anyone know much about it?. I plan on talking to a recruiter later.
