I am putting together a 1 minute video montage for a client of mine and she suggest perhaps putting a Duke Ellington song to it. I want to make sure I do this right as it may be used for a promotional video. Am I violating any copyright laws if do this even though he is passed away. Is their a website that explains copyright laws when it comes to music and that is easy to understand? I see video mixes all over youtube that have new songs put to them and I highly doubt they have permission. Thanks.

I heard a guy claim there was a thirteenth amendment to the Constitution of the United States called the Titles of Nobility. It is supposed to forbid anyone holding a title of nobility (like esquire) from a foreign country from holding political office in the USA. I can't find much about it that I can verify.

As China is the only country in the world that could make demands on the GENERALS in Burma should the rest of the world threaten with a boycott of the games if China does't interfere with the opresive regime in Burma ?

ok after talking to a recruiter we came across a problem I am a single mother with a 6 month old daughter she told me that the only way I could enlist is if I signed over all rights and custody of my daughter to someone in the family until I got out of basic and tech school and then I could try to get custody back but I would not be able to do it right away. Then she said that she was a single mother when she joined and the reason she was able to get around it was she got married to one of her gay guy friends and then when she got out of Tech School she filed for an annulment claiming that he was gay. I am still wanting to join but I don't want to give up my daughter and I also don't think I should have to get married in order to be active duty... Any suggestions.... HELP>

Ever since I lost my George Forman grill I have been a bit edgy. That last question was waaaaaay out of line.

I just want the USA to win in Iraq so our boys/girls can come home knowing that they achieved victory.

It's legal in most of the U.S. It's legal in most of Europe but not in the U.K. as far as I am aware. It's okay for the U.K. cops to use it on us though. After being involved in an incident that so closely ended in serious violence, the kind of violence in which either he or I would not have got off the floor, I now carry pepper spray. I don't go out without it. In this country you are not allowed to defend yourself or your home or you get nicked. Yet when the police do catch an offender for violence they just issue a "Caution" a let off bascially. They are not really there to protect the public, just collect tax money for the government in the form of issuing motoring fines. You have to look after yourself any way you can because they are not really there to protect you.

An irritable passenger reportedly offended by security questions was arraigned today on charges he told Logan Airport officials he was an al-Qaeda terrorist here to “blow things up.”

Ermyas Asfaw, 27, of Washington, D.C., posted $1,500 cash bail after pleading innocent in East Boston District court to a single charge of false communication of an explosive device.

Massport officials tell the Herald Asfaw had a ticket on his bag from Dubai of the United Arab Emirates and security began asking him questions Saturday night.
