Ever since I lost my George Forman grill I have been a bit edgy. That last question was waaaaaay out of line.

I just want the USA to win in Iraq so our boys/girls can come home knowing that they achieved victory.

Always. Did you leave your grill at your uncle Ned's cabin?

Apology accepted.

We all want our boys and girls to come home I would just like to know how you would define "winning" or "victory". We heard a long time ago that bogus "Mission Accomplished" speech, so why aren't they home yet? If our objectives are for the Iraq military to be self sufficient and take care of themselves, we're making little progress. There are political benchmarks for a Democratic Iraqi government to be inclusive. Apparently the Iraqis don't want this and all the troops in the world won't force it on them.

It is not true that Mostly young conservative men and women are doing that. There are plenty of moderates and liberals in the military. You are doing them a disservice by not acknowledging them. In fact the military looks a lot like the general public.

Your "suggestion" to shut thef***up and let the troops do their job so they can come home. Pour a glass of white wine, light up some weed and pop your copy of Broke Back Mountain into your DVD player and RELAX. No one is going to draft you from your Mommys basement." is a blatant over generalization and stereotype. I am a liberal who learned about war the hard way. I do not smoke dope. I've never seen Brokeback Mountain. I have a career and raise and provide a home for my grandchildren. I was not spit at by war protestors when I returned. I was treated with scorn when conservatives accused me and fellow Veterans about lying about the war and suggesting that we could write ourselves up for medals we did not earn. I'm so sick of hearing chickenhawks who never wore a uniform characterizing my fellow Veterans as lazy, homosexual dopers.

The conservative playbook clearly states you have to be hysterical about something 24/7. ..gay marraige, immigration, yadda, yadda, yadda,

In addition to an apology ,might I suggest some anger management therapy. If you are serious about your apology please start thinking before posting.

My goodness, the loss of a kitchen appliance really affects you that way? I would hate to see what would happen if you lost something of real value. Yes you were way out of line but your apology is accepted. We all want what is best for our people and a victory would be nice but even many of the top brass in the Iraq theater don't believe we are winning in the way we should be winning.

I saw a great article on another post I found really interesting. I also have another one on the subject of Iraq. They certainly seem to point to some interesting facts people need to read.

Nice of you to apologize. Accepted.

Win what, I may ask? Victory would be a stable, peaceful Iraq, with a working economy run by Iraqi's. It occurs to me (and many others) that leaving may be the best way to achieve that at this point in the game.

But by any measure, it is not our fine military that let us down it is we who let them down by not defining their mission more precisely, by not planning for the foreseen problems and instead hoping for the best, by rushing to war against a lesser evil when we had greater evils at our doorstep.

To be sure, our intent in Iraq was noble. To rid the world of a unrepentant murderous dictator and free the Iraqi people. The dictators is gone, but the Iraqi's are not free. We may better accomplish that second step by leaving their country, and letting them determine their own fate.

yeah that would be nice. sorry about your grill. i bought a griddler which is from cuisinart and i actually ended up liking it better than the george formean, you can use it as a grill and panini maker because it has a floating hinge, and it has different panels so it can be a griddle too.

I see Evander Holyfield is coming out with a "Real Deal" grill that he says is better than George's.

no
but, that's only because it's Not the 1st time you gave a insulting rant like that.

and
if / when we win in Iraq we still have to fight and win the real war on terror.

we will have Victory when we destroy Al Qaeda and put Zawahiri's and Bin Laden's severed heads on display.

Apology accepted. If it makes you feel better, soon you'll be able to get an Evander Holyfield grill to replace your old one.
