How can wanting to secure the borders be considered racist?

Its a weak argument. They use it, and certain catch words (like racist) to direct attention away from the real issue - laws. I really don't care where a person is from.... if they are here legally, I accept them. If they are here illegally, then they need to go. Its that simple.

Truthfully it is the only way for them to be heard. Unless they yell that we are being racist what other arguments do they have? Can you imagine the signs at a rally saying: AMERICANS ARE BEING TO SAFE!

I mean its just easier to use the race card. The thing is Mexicans have access to jobs, benefits, and resources. If they just take a moment to look in the history books, when black people were fighting for their right they were justly doing so because they had not rights at all. When a person says you can drink out of this fountain because you black then that is racist, when we say we are securing our borders because American is getting out of control that is security! there is a difference. Educating people on the true meaning of racism would help.

The same reason why not hopping onto a helicopter to immediately aid the idiots in New Orleans who refused to evacuate means we are racists. You pretty much have to let people walk all over you these days in order to not be considered a racist.

i'm a Republican who happens to have a liberal view on immigration. in case you like human beings to force the fee shrink and not 5 to ten mph over, you will desire to enforce that instant - no longer unexpectedly turn around and retroactively hand out 1000's of tickets and droop all and sundry's license for what we've all been doing for an somewhat long term. that is an unwritten settlement that inspite of the undeniable fact that technically unlawful, the cops are going to aid you get away with going somewhat over the fee shrink. we've been lax on imposing unlawful immigration and regarded any opposite direction. that is lots much less annoying to coach human beings away on the border or deport them as quickly as their visa expires than to throw them in another united states of america whilst they have been right here for many, some years and geared up a existence right here. finally, we would desire to shield the border and to be certain who's right here. in the event that they are no longer criminals, i've got not got a issue with a pathway to citizenship - and that i've got no longer any prefer to squeeze those human beings like many different conservatives seem to sense is critical. so a good distance as "leaping the line", the issue there is that there is a line in any respect. Our criminal immigration equipment is so screwed up that that is backing up people who would desire to have the flexibility to go into and make contributions to the rustic. All of it somewhat is basically context... to respond to your question, I nevertheless have not got a issue with the term. The "unlawful" in "unlawful immigrant" denotes status - an identical way we've "single human beings" and "married human beings". that's a factually precise ongoing status. The term has no longer something to do with race or racism. There are white unlawful immigrants too. How is the framing incorrect? basically as a results of fact i'm no longer huge on punishment for against the regulation we weren't properly imposing does no longer mean they are no longer finally accountable and in charge for their own movements. so a good distance as employers, interior the previous many have not widespread (or particularly frankly tried to no longer understand) despite if their workers have been unlawful or no longer. For those you could coach knowingly employed "unlawful immigrants", I have no subject calling them "unlawful employers" the two. flow forward and upload that to the lexicon.

racist, racism, undocumented immigrant are all words used by pro illegals to remove the negative connotation. they don't want to connect law violation and illegal activity with illegals. as long as pro illegals can confuse the issue and people refuse to educate themselves they'll still be just under 5% who will continue to support them.

Because it is easier for them to boil things down to simple concepts (despite the fallacy of it) so that they can gain sympathy from others who have no idea that it isn't about race. They have their organization called "la raza" which means "the race" so they think that it is merely about race. It couldn't be about complex economical, politcal, social, legal reasons. that would be just too much to debate and they would lose. So they call it race.

Sort of like wanting doors on our house means we hate visitors.

We just only want the ones who respect our ability to say who can come, and how many.

I gave up trying to rationalize with these people. You just can't get through to them. They LOVE to be angry they LOVE to aggravate sensible people.

They have no valid solutions and they don't seek them. They are the ones who were "on the sidelines" in high school. Yes.... you remember them!!! Well, now they are all grown up and still "throwing rocks" at the people who are out there making decisions, finding solutions and adding something to our society..... Just like they did in high school.
