Seems like the surge is working to me. Like Gen. Patraus says it is. Like President Bush says it is. Like Hannity and Limbaugh says it is.

Looks like libs don't like facts. Only stories and falsities to push their agenda of anti-patriotism at the American public.

Beria: It is the more aggressive tactics of the Surge which has brought about our current successes. But when the bullets are flying, there is no such thing as having too many friends at the party shooting at the enemy.

The news is even more positive than that report demonstrates. The past two months have seen a spike in non-combat related deaths while overall US deaths has still decreased. When those 24 NON-combat related deaths are subtracted, we only lost 40 to enemy action in September and 58 in August. This is during the most dangerous month of Ramadan and during a period of an Enemy Surge in activity to give our anti-war types an excuse to push for a pull out.

It is despite the fact that we have more Soldiers and Marines constantly pressing the enemy, going out and finding them under the rocks they hide. The media is finally being *forced* to report *some* of the positive news.

Your detractors here have missed the train. "Certain politicians" and their party have quit talking about the military (so they won't have to admit our successes) and moved on to demanding that a democratically elected government of our ally work 3x as much as they do and to pass legislation demanded by them. Yes, those politicians are avoiding the subject as much as possible.

Pretty soon, I expect one or two of them will start bragging about how they *supported* the mission.

I've been reporting on the successes of our military in my Daily Report and Good News series for a few months now as well as giving background information on the enemy and exposing their atrocious acts (Deeds of the Enemy series).

The libs were claiming the surge 'failed' before it even started.

Notice how carefully they avoid setting a standard for 'success' or 'failure?' And how they ignore the goals of the surge when deciding it it succeeded or failed?

I am willing to bet that the people who are claiming it failed are not even aware of the specific military objectives that the surge was intended to achieve.

I see that you only state on source with your question. Have you though about getting your information from somewhere other than Fox news?? Or are you only one sided in the matter and will refuse to look at another news source? $456,220,727,045- What the war has cost as of 1020 AM CDT on 01 OCT 07, and growing... U.S. Deaths Confirmed By The DoD: 3800
Reported U.S. Deaths Pending DoD Confirmation: 4
Total 3804
64 deaths of american forces in one month?? Look at the whole picture.

This isn't an open question. It's just another neo-con parroting what his masters say.

Why don't you head over to Iraq for a couple of months and see how the surge is "working"?

oh but you link to faux news, and we know they are terribly unreliable for news reporting. the way to reduce "civilian" deaths is simple, you start calling them "combatants," an old trick.
