Der Spiegel (Germany) has interesting information about the terror bust in Germany;

"Three suspected Islamist militants who were planning to attack U.S. installations in Germany had orders to act by Sept. 15...."

According to surveillance details published in Der Spiegel magazine, the men had been given a two-week deadline for their planned strikes in a late August call from northern Pakistan that was monitored by German police.

So al Qaeda's top leaders were anxious to precipitate an attack on Americans by September 15. Why? That's the date on which General Petraeus will deliver his report to Congress. Al Qaeda, as always, was playing to the Democrats in Congress, the press, and the American people. Undoubtedly, similar orders have gone out to al Qaeda's agents in Iraq and around the world.

background check and the applicant has stated that they have never been arrested under a misdemeanor or a felony but it comes back on the criminal check that they had been arrested for theft and charged with a misdemeanor 22 years ago, is it the responsibility of the employer to inform the applicant of these findings, or can they just assume this person is a liar and a thief and move on to the next applicant. I feel as if that person should know what is coming back on their history check because what if it is a mistake that needs to be taken care of. But LEGALLY, does the employer have to. BTW, this is Texas law I am asking about.

My parents constantly go through mail that is addressed to me, they rip it open examine it and even sometimes respond. I tried talking to them and asking them to stop, they refused. Is there a law against opening someone else's mail?

I have many reports against him, vandalism, harrasment, threatening, etc. Police say, did you see him? It doesnt matter cause I dont know where he is to put a restraining order against him. (the judge told me) I bought security cams and vcr to hopfully 'catch' him for the police. Shouldnt they be more concerned? I even relocated to hide from him and he Still found me again. I, myself, am not worried but I have children and a husband that is away for a few months. ( plus he has vandalised 3 of my vehicle, yes police were notified ) What are my options, how can I stop him?! Please help too many years this has went on.

As a counsellor, I have been approached by a woman working as a prostitute who seeks counselling, which I am more than happy to provide. But I would like to clarify: as I know for a fact that her money has been earned illegally, am I in turn breaking the law by accepting that money?

I just read that Sen. Edwards made the following remarks in answer to Sen. H. Clinton's assertion that one must work the system in order to bring change and not pretend it doesn't exist.

Sen. Edwards said: "Senator Clinton is right. You can't pretend the system doesn't exist. But you can't also pretend that it works."

What do you think abut this sentiment? Do you think the system that is in place today is a working viable system? Do you think it is being fulfilled in the way it was meant to when the ForeFathers set it up?

i understand that it is in the constitution that every man has the right to bare arms,but, surely the american people can see the connection between this and the fact that they have one of the highest murder rates in the world. and surely they should distinguish between a (semi) automatic machine gun and a single shot hunting rifle.

The police can upload 'snoopware' like flexispy onto your phone to watch and listen to whats going on around the phone. Can there ever be any good reason why they would need the power to do this? Creepy.

my landlord gave me a 30 day notice last month, were in the process of buying a house, we still have not found a house yet. This landlord said she sold the house and the owner want the house vacant, well i call the agent that is representing her house and he told me that the house was still up for sale ( which the landlord lied) anyway every other day she is charassing us to move, we have to get out. i told her to go to the court and i will asked the judge for more time. i lived in this house with my husband and 3kids, we have always payed our rent on time each month for the past 2years that we lived here. We can not get along with the landlord because she is constantly coming in our house when we are not there, what angers me the most is one of my husband friends was in our apt and my husband went down the block and sure enough the landlord came in to our apt and was on her way in to our bedroom, when she notice my husband friend was in the apt, a place like my bedroom so private
