First off, I know a dumb white chick who got $20K for marrying a 40 year old man from India.
She's being investigated for IMMIGRATION FRAUD.
She will go to jail.
You could be next. You sold your soul to the devil for 6 grand.
It shows you can be bought.

A lot of trouble, and first of all, DO NOT DO IT !!! You will serve jail time and be fined more than $6,000.00. The illegal one will be charged also and sent back to his country once our legal system is done with him/her.
And believe me, you won't be able to keep this a secret because you have to be married I think it's a minimum of 2 to 3 years, and people will ask questions.
Illegal alliens are starting to be cracked down on and it's about time.
Do you realize if you accept $6,000.00 to do this, he/she can take get that back in no time plus more? And this person will promise you the moon. So you are idiot to do such a thing first of all. And if you listen to this person and they tell you "I'll put it in writing" it won't be worth the paper it's written on because of the status.
So, if you do it, I'm sorry, I hope you do get caught, you will lose your money and prob. go to prison.
I'm sure you won't like my answer, but don't ask if you don't want to hear it.
Good luck and just say NO THANKS, get lost, he/she will try and find another sucker.

Well but the re--married thing in federal prison is a little far fetched
thats falls more under the common law marriage LOL
They dont really give them 6,000 dollars do they

You have to stay married for a number of years before the person get the Green card,as at first it is a conditional green card and a valid for a limited frame. Mainly due to situations like this.
What do you do if you meet the love of your life while you are doing all this??

Some people are now offering *$100,000* for phoney marriages!
You're getting screwed!
But, you're looking at 3-5 years in a Federal Prison!
Then when you get out you're going to be a Convicted Federal Felon for the rest of your life!
You can't vote, you can't participate in many govt programs, you can't be Bonded so you won't be able to get a lot of jobs,and,.... wherever you go you have to register with the police as a "convicted felon."
Now, how bad do you want that $6,000?
It's not worth it!!!

I would hope that the immigrant would be removed from the country, and the fake spouse would be imprisoned and fined.
I moved to the US from Britain legally by passing all the checks and requirements, so I have ZERO sympathy for anyone who does it illegally.
