Guatemalan army officers I spoke to, told me it was a continuation of cultural conflict, between the Kekchi, who controled the army and Kekchi traditional enemies, the Ixil, Mam, and Eastern Quiche.

I have been in Guatemala quite a bit over the last twenty years. It seems there would need to be more Government than exist, to have a civil war.

No funds for the war means no war for Halliburton and the rest of the moneygrabbers. It isn't as if the govt is giving all of the veterans what they need and deserve when they return home. It isn't as though they are giving our young men and women all that they need in the "war" effort either
So----why hasn't Congress acted? Are they too caught up in the 'moneygrabbing' effort--for themselves of course.
Ask yourselves. Does Gerogewbush really give a ratzbehind for our troops? What is going on in his mind? Why a request for so much more money when we should be working towards bringing the troops home?
What is really going on in the minds of our representatives?

I already have my MOS and ship date. Should i tell my recruiter or just pay it through the mail and forget about it and dont worry about it? If i tell my recruiter is it going to delay my date? Any help would be great. I dont know what to do.

Imagine you are given a choice: Plead guilty to a crime you didn't commit and receive a sentence of four or so years, or take a chance with a jury and receive "25 years to life." In addition, imagine that you are an African-American or Hispanic and you will most likely have an all white jury in Orange County or San Diego County or some other well-known conservative place and a person has said they saw you at the crime scene (the person identified you in a photo presented by the police), or there is other shaky evidence that can be used against you (an informant will be getting immunity or a lesser sentence for testifying against you). What would you plead?

i don't understand this article. why can't you just plead innocent when you know you are? can someone help?

I'm currently writing a debate as negative to "we should embrace nuclear power". Why do you think that Australia as a nation shouldn't embrace nuclear power?

Welfare, Section 8, WIC, Food Stamps, Medicaid, Energy Assistance Checks? All you stuffy, white, arrogant, ignorant republicans who live off "old money" and have a sense of entitlement like to talk about us working poor. You like to put us down if we apply for KidCare Insurance for our kids since we have no insurance because you take everything for yourselves and want to hold us down. You sit in your phoney office job with your crocodile shirts and loafers with tassles on them. Your wives beg me for sex because you can't perform.

Here's an excerpt from an article concerning the widow of Sgt Patrick Stewart.

quote from article ----------------------------------------
CARSON CITY -- When President Bush took time Tuesday to meet family members of some of the fallen soldiers from Northern Nevada, a woman whose husband made the ultimate sacrifice was notably absent.

Roberta Stewart of Fernley, who lost her husband, Sgt. Patrick Stewart, when the helicopter he was in was shot down in Afghanistan in September 2005, said she was not invited to the meeting that followed Bush's speech to the American Legion's national convention in Reno.

Other members of the Stewart family were invited to the brief, private meeting, including her husband's parents and brother, as were family members of others who have been killed in Iraq and Afghanistan.

Stewart said her in-laws were contacted by the White House last week in advance of the visit by Bush to Reno. But she received no call or e-mail extending an invitation.

Take a look at this article;

Hysterical? Not at all. Read the whole thing and think about what you have in your home that is Chinese made. Shop at Wal-Mart? Then don't ***** and complain when companies outsource.
The fact is, America's position as a maker and a builder is long gone. Now America is fat, lazy and it's sense of entitlement is nothing to be proud of.
So, what ARE you going to do about it?

He just does as he wants with impunity. Congress talks a foolish talk. Americans sit back thinking that pouring money down an endless hole will keep us safe and secure.
That a Lame Duck president is still able to dupe all of these people is mindboggling.
