The UN will be in charge of the United States in case of a flu pandemic, does that scare you? The SPP agreement with Canada and Mexico was in the plan, we get the flu and they push the North American Union?

OK, Atlanta is looking at banning people wearing baggy pants and letting the boxers show. Let me first say I hate the pants, think it looks ridiculous BUT I do not see why this is a “lets pass a law” issue.

Even more outrageous is the ACLU claiming this is a racial issue and police will be doing racial profiling. WHAT? This is a teen boy (and occasionally girl) issue. I see whites, blacks, hispanics, asians, and native americans all wearing this “style”.

Would love to get your input on this. Is this a government issue? Would it be racial profiling? If we pass this can we also outlaw “HOTTIE” mid-drift t-shirts? If we pass this, what outfit or style would you like to see banned?

He never asks a question that can be answered yes or no. Do you still beat your wife? Yes or No? You know the answer to every poll before it is taken. He words them in a manner that no one who disagrees with him would bother to answer his question. Also, why does he ask people on his program and then interrupt them every time they try to express a thought?

I already have a Bachelors degree. I want to do either Army Special Forces or Intelligence, (MOS 18A or 35). Enlisted recruiter says I should enlist because I will be allowed to pick my job; he says if I go OCS I will be placed where the army needs me and push papers. I do not want to push papers! Moreover I would not like to be in the position of "princess" to my subordinates, and am not entirely confident about my "leadership" capabilities off the bat (haven't been asked to lead anyone ever). I would like to be promoted to Lieutenant eventually, presumably. But I do not want a cushy job, and I don't care about money very much. Still, I am having trouble answering this question. People seem to have strong opinions both ways.

Thanks.

Do you think your social security number is safe?
The answer is NO.
"Meet Audra Schmierer a Victim"

Dozens steal Californian's identity

At least 81, mostly likely illegals, use number in 17 states

By Peter Prengaman
Associated Press

DUBLIN, Calif. — Audra Schmierer's Social Security number really gets around. It has been used by at least 81 people in 17 states, most of them probably illegal immigrants trying to get work.

Jeff Chiu, Associated Press

Audra Schmierer eyes a map as she talks about sites where people used her ID number to get work. The federal government took years to discover the number was being used illegally, but authorities took little action even then.
"They knew what was happening but wouldn't do anything," said Schmierer, 33, a housewife in this affluent San Francisco suburb. "One name, one number, why can't they just match it up?"
Her case is an example of an inc

Most of the time people take a plea to a misdemeanor (for a LESSER Charge) because they dont want to spend a year traveling back and forth to court spending thousands of dollars on a lawyer and lost wages.
Some people even know the dirty tricks that prosecutor and judges use to get a conviction and sentence regardless of what the jury decides (jury nulification). Defense lawyers want it overwith quickly because felonies is where the real money is, and theyre ussually handling 3, 4 or more cases at the same time. How do you expect a single individual go up against the power of the DA office with their million dollar budget and vested interest in seeing you lose and have a chance?

Given the current state of the economy, is it fair for conservatives to say that if the congress and white house are Democratically controlled in the next ellection. That they would raise taxes and forceing the US into a resssion?

Correct me if I'm wrong, but did we not have a fairly good economy under the Clinton Administration? I still wonder how we are gonna pay for this conflict in Iraq n without rasing taxes, don't you?

Can anyone help me out on this paradox?

At the beginning of our republic, most of congress was temporary. It was duty that people served in it, and careers were short. In the early 1900's it started to become a career thing, and because of that we've seen significant expansions in our government.

After FDR's death we realized how much our government can change just by one president, and so we decided to limit presidential terms. I think that was wise.

Why not congress? I'm sick of seeing either side stay on with near impunity! In order to instill a politican of duty and a politician closer to the people,...why not have new blood in every 8 years? Why not have another primary with someone different?

The world changes, and it seems that these elite lifelong politicians have nothing to lose. I mean this about both parties. It's silly that dems and repubs can't get together on this. We both understand the value don't we?

On President Bush and giving The Mayor, the Govenor and 50 years of political hacks a free wash of all responsibility? Yes, the federal government could have done more and responded faster, but the failing levees and inability to evacuate the city completely rests on a local and state level. I just hope they get all the help they need before another Hurricane hits.

I don't know anyone on here be they Pro or Anti that agrees with illegal immigration.Nor open borders. The only differences I do see is our understanding of what has created the situation and how to handle it.So are facts like the Trade Agreements which have encouraged this mass immigration not understood or are they just lost in all the uproar over people illegally immigrating?

We all know that it was government failure on many levels but we also know that the local government is more to blame than the federal government, and yet the incumbents continue to get re-elected.

Since it costs the taxpayers so much, and so many illegals are imprisoned etc., and all of the other negatives that go with it, shouldn't they at least raise the penalty for illegal immigration to a felony level. Seems like Congress was thinking about doing this at one time.
It would perhaps make illegals think twice, if they knew they would be facing stiff jail sentences and high fines.

When did they stop printing $2 Bills

Did they start printing $2 Bills again at any point for any period of time recently?

I was handed a $2 Bill today at work and it's date is 2003, or at least it's "series" is... I'm not all that convinced that it's real... but it feels extremely real, and was printed by an extremely high precision machine. Any explanations or ideas?

Nobody, right?
Most of the candidates running for president want to withdraw from Iraq. None are offering a winning proposal.
It doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure out that mismanagement by the Bush administration has been the major stumbling block in Iraq.
What if a presidential candidate came up with a surefire plan to win in Iraq, a plan that would require less money and fewer troop. Would you vote for that candidate? Or, would you vote for the candidate that wants to toss in the towel?
