It seems to me that both are for creating more government control and eroding our sovereignty.

That is because globalists are in both parties, just sliding the crap at us from a different direction.

In theory yes, in practice no. There are differences in the ideological backbones of the two parties, and they're not insignificant differences. When set in a position of power, however, the differences between the two parties is negligible. Basically here's how both parties approach a problem:

1. Identify problem, whether real or perceived, with America
2. Appoint committee to spend millions studying problem
3. Throw money at problem
4. Wait one year
5. Appoint committee to spend millions studying why solution isn't working
6. Blame other party for lack of progress
7. Throw money at problem
Repeat steps 4-7

The only difference between republicans and democrats is the priority of the "problems".

The way I see it, the biggest difference is that the Democrats tell us up front what they plan to do and do their best to stick to it. The Republicans tell us they want less government and less spending, then they get into office and force more government and more spending on us. I don't agree 100% with either party, but I have to give the Democrats points for honesty.

Blame it on..

The 16th and 17th amendment...
Term limits should have been instituted for the presidency and for congress.

Since it hasn't...you add those two together, and spending is just popular to multiple interests.

Yes. I believe it's in our DNA. The most corrupt group however is the one that has been in power longer.

Oh, pitbull, get real..... Most Republicans are NOT rich nor are they looking at any big inheritance. Most of us are hard working and have earned what they have.

There are two types of Democrats, the old money rich who can't relate to the common working man and the poor, scared and ignorant who are conned into voting for the rich elitist.

Not that I can tell... HOWEVER, As an Independent, I find myself leaning more and more to the left. The "right" these days are so… so… wrong!

Yes. ONE BIG DIFFERENCE.

Republicans work & pay taxes.
Democrats refuse to work & live on Welfare.
Some Democrats do work for the Government.
For Democrats, it's either Government or Welfare.
That's why Democrats ALWAYS raise our taxes.
BECAUSE THEY LIVE OFF THOSE TAXES.
Cool!!!!
