What do you think Bush had. Bush was known for bipartisan politics. The democrats didn't care, they lost and they were going to fight every single effort that was brought forward. there were no solutions, no plans, no compromises. On every single topic. So I really don't care any more.

Unlikely with the current acidic political atmosphere. However, the canidate you are rooting for (Obama) is probably the only one who would be able to do so. He already is working with Colin Powell for foreign policy advice which is a great move. In addition, he has been willing to work with other people to add to his ideological vision. This is a refreshing contrast to Clinton, Richardson, Romney, and Giuliani.
This is all without a Bloomberg candidacy. If he were to run and win even one state's electoral votes, he could be in a position to force a candidate to agree to a bi-partisan cabinet.
On the issue, I think it would be good if this were to happen. Particularly to end the Roveian politics of the past 8 years. The bipartisanship (between the Congress and the President-not in the cabinet) under Reagans first term and Clinton's last 6 years were both eras of amazing growth both economically and politically. Eitherway, it would be good, but still I think unlikely.

I do care who wins as far as President. After that, I could care less, what party the VP is from, and which way Congress leans, as long as there is no real clear majority, like now.
As long as everything remains more moderate rather than extreme, I think things will work out fine. It is when our government starts leaning too far to one side or the other that things star going downhill.
As far as cabinet, that should always be bi-partisan.

It works in Montana - Democrat Governor and Republican Lieutenant Governor. We need for the nation to come back to center - this partisan crap will be the end of our country if it gets much worse.

I am all for a bipartisan cabinet. And... how about some people in the cabinet who aren't personal friends of the president, who have no previous experience, nor are they political dinosaurs looking for a last hurrah?

Wrong.
That's leadership by polls or majority rule. Doesn't work. Bush is doing what HE thinks is right, because we, the people, elected him to do just that. We need another leader that kind of back bone.
